A Downy Woodpecker (Dryobates pubescens) nest with at least two chicks inside, one with normal coloration, and the other with leucistic (reduced pigmentation) coloration. I was thinking Downy and realized the little male had leucistic colouration. They are a great find, and really sweet when they stick their little heads out.

I agree with the Hairy summation! Yes, it's a male feeding it and one of the chick's is leucistic.....quite a find!

The Lab told me that they are the smaller Downy Woodpeckers, actually.

@@christineh7815 Okay, but it was the Lab of Ornithology that told me they are Downy Woodpeckers. It was definitely fun to see them, though!
