Downtown Sitka Alaska - Driving Tour
Here is a driving tour of Downtown Sitka, Alaska. this is where the majority of the shops are located at along with some historical sites, the Science Center and Totem Park where there are more than 20 totem poles. please enjoy the tour and ask questions. Sitka has a tendency to become a piece of everyone that visits. I throughly enjoyed my two years there.
Nice tour for sure! I enjoy living here and it is funny to see my parked vehicle in your video.

It was a nice tour for sure. Unfortunately I advanced out of any available billets. Maybe Ill head back after retirement.

Sitka is one of the coolest places in Southeast Alaska
Brings Back Old Memories, I Remember the Westmark Hotel was the Sitka SHEE Atika Hotel Back when I lived there in the Hotel 1980 for About 6 Months Around the Time when The MS Prinsendam, A cruise ship That Sank off the Coast of Sitka, We Saved 520 Souls on Board , Every one Saved. The People there where the Greatest, Like Faimily. Thank You. ;-)

Its a classic, probably one of the few ones left.
Going on our 2nd Alaskan cruise with Quantum of the Seas this time coming May 2022. This is my first time going to this city.

Sitka is awesome. I was there with the USCG for two years. You will have no problem filling up your day with activities.
I didn't know Sitka had a Mcdonalds. I am surprised there is no Starbucks yet. Would love to retire there.

It also has a subway. I would hate to see a Starbucks go in because the local coffee shops are killing it up there.

The do for the cruise ship passengers. Only taxis for everyone else. However There is only 13 miles of road and the town is in the middle. Most taxi rides cost $5
