Go to Colombia for everything but the Cafe. I lived their for four years. They know how to grow it, but sadly not how to prepare it. It literally was the one and only thing in Venezuela that was better than Colombia. But definitely go it is an awesome country, with great friendly people. As they say: Colombia es pasión

You are in my city! ♥ The typical food of Pereira is bandeja paisa. People in the coffee region are also paisas. Pereira is not that touristy, but more of a family place, and a place of enjoying the little things in life. As a little girl we went to the river, swimming pools, the zoo, termales of course, and we visit family. As a teen when I went back to visit, dancing was the thing to do! Nowadays we enjoy visiting the surrounding areas, the malls, movies, and going out to lunch. I love la Luciernega for a snack and ice cream, although they are SUPER slow. When I was little, Pereira was not a melting pot at all, but now it seems that it is, and I hear that there are also a lot of Venezuelans.
