I understand why you like to film and photograph all this stuff. You have an artist's eye. Your photos are quite good.

Thank you for returning to show the destruction in day light. Fire has no mercy and will cost thousand to replace the structures and content. Many live are effected economically. This is the third fabric place in LA county to be destroyed by fire this year. Thanks GIV!

You've taken very good footage of what happened. Last night and the morning after. As an LA native, I thank you for appreciating what you see, for better or worse. You have a winning personality and I like you. Please do be careful though.

The thing is, you have a fine eye for the things YOU appreciate, find interesting or find artistic. When you point out a lot of things in your videos, I’m like, yes, yes, I like that too, or isn’t that interesting, you happen to have a unique perspective, and that’s what’s wonderful about you. You point out things many may not see at first, it takes you to do that! I appreciate that, that’s why I continue to watch your videos (plus the humor you throw in). You keep being you…and I hope you don’t mind, I took a screen shot of the fireman with the truck and the palm trees, because you see, you have vision. I saw the fire from someone living across the Cecil Hotel. It was REALLY big. How can people complain that firefighters fight fires? That's why they are here for. 😄

Like you, I am fascinated by the things that capture moments. I'm absolutely amazed at the talent of the people that can create some of those stunning, painted images. I can't draw a straight stick figure 😂 so I take in and appreciate the art that seems to come so easily to others. Yep...also love things like the firetrucks and hydrants you took pics of. Life is pretty incredibly. It's wonderful to grab those few moments we can to take in our varied surroundings. Thanks so much for taking us to this fire scene...both during and the aftermath. Enjoy the rest of your weekend 🥰

Listen to your gut , it never lies. You do what you enjoy doing, do not worry about what anybody says. This is your thing we are all different in what we like and do. I enjoy your content, and I think your collection is awesome. I like old things. There use to be a show on TV called salvage, I loved it. It was about these men that would salvage anything they could find and make something really unusual. So keep on doing what you like 👍.

I hope the owners of these factories will build back better and stronger with the insurance money. I can’t believe some of those plants from that mini garden are still alive - would be a wonderful sign of hope to take those living plants and replant them wherever these businesses move to (maybe they’d need to be temporarily housed somewhere else until then). Or maybe you could go rescue those plants and give them to the LAFD units who risked their own lives to put inside their firehouses as a symbol of new life growing from the ashes. You could buy new planters and decorate them with your own spin. I bet LAFD would be very moved by such a gesture and would love to decorate the firehouse with some plants they saved.

Mike, your local news coverage of the LA area and the detail you go into to get the real story behind the story is second to none! You have those "Action 5" news channels beat by a mile!

I wish my dad was still here to shove Mike’s videos from yesterday and today. He volunteered from the miid 70’s and into the 80’s at Harbor Lights on skid row (now closed) and he headed a project to upgrade a women’s residential rehab center, an old masonry building, to meet current earthquake code. Time has certainly marched on…it was an apocalyptic scene on these familiar streets.

Thank you for these videos always! I grow evermore appreciative of the basic amenities and day to day opportunities that arise in my life!

I feel for the shop owners that are trying to make a living. Your insurance rates must be through the roof. I wish the people of LA all the best in getting things changed for the good of LA.

It really is sad; those pharmaceutical drugs can really damage you permanently. Though, I strongly suspect assisting them off whatever they're addicted in combination with optimal nutrition will really reverse that perceivably irreversible damage.

If brain cells are damaged, there is no way back to normality. And quite frankly spoken: Who in our society really cares? It is all about "money making", unfortunately!

First and foremost they must find within themselves the very possibility of something better before that can happen. Coming from someone who is currently recovering from addiction, the only solution for me is by bettering my personal relationship with my creator. I lived in La Mesa from 1965 to about 74,,,,,,,,,,it was Beautiful back then. We would ride the bus from La Mesa and go to San Diego Zoo,,,,down to the Beach. It is a Different world from then to today,,i walked to school,,,,,,walked to the movie theater,,,,35 cents to see a movie back then,,,i saw Big Jake,,,O mega Man,,,,,,,,,,Night of the living Dead,,,that scared the crap out of me and my sister,,,, Chatos Land ,,,,, all the Love Bug Movies ,,,,,,,,,,,sad to see it destroyed

OMG! part of Los Angeles burned down. Sad to see this and I hope all effected by this have insurance to cover most of the losses. Insurance never covers it all, but can possibly help to recover the businesses lost. Think about those who'll now lose their employment and wish them the best as I do. We should be thankful that one of those tall buildings didn't catch on fire also, like what happened in, NYC. The World Trade Center falling down when it was on fire, killing all those people!
