Downtown - Cities Skylines: Riverton Bay - 05
Ойындар
The idea of Riverton Bay is to create a city that looks and feels big. It is set on an island to limit the amount of space, thus making it possible to do heavy detailing.

Do add more palm trees and a tropical vibe to the city, it looks good
To fill up the city, I suggest late 1800s to early 1900s buildings. A lot of cities like L.A have older buildings too, so place some of them to add a realistic touch :)
Tazer: „I want to build a griddy American downtown.“ result looks 90% more curvy than the average American downtown … :D

lol.. you read my mind!!
The skyline is looking pretty good, and I honestly love the whole beach idea. I would recommend keeping the downtown buildings primarily brand-new residential and commercial along the water. I doubt I have to elaborate on all the big glass condos in Miami, but there have been some really good ones on the workshop lately. I would also recommend high-end retail assets along the beachfront avenue - KingLeno has some, but if you look up Prada or Gucci, you’ll be able to find a creator (their name escapes me) who’s been modeling flagship brand stores from all around the world that would fit perfectly. I’m really excited to see where you go with the downtown now!
Awesome city. Looking forward to seeing a convention center, a shopping mall, and and airport as well.
San Diego is a perfect comparison because the waterfront is right where the skyline is located!
Sorry I forgot to mention San Diego. They have a huge waterfront with an air craft carrier. The downtown is also right on the water so it could be some great inspiration for this series. San Diego is like the Miami of the West coast.
Nice looking! :D feels like Miami vibe... 🌴
I love your vids and builds keep up the good work

It’s inspired by Fort Lauderdale in florida! :0 i always wanted to go to that place but I’ve been near :/
A before and after shot would be cool like you did in Brunswald
This gonna be a nice looking city
Makes no sense to have the only subway stop to be near the coast. It'd easily get flooded.
very realistic for la! only thing you’re missing is never ending traffic...
By the way Taz, Montevideo capital of Uruguay is fully surrounded by quays. It happens to be one of the main attractions, specially on weekends.
Wow! It's like a pocket-city but it looks really cool. Again, yet another great idea for a city series.
NICE!!!!
Check out downtown San Diego so you can see how downtown is right next to the water and is surrounded by quays, just like you had it at the beginning
Love the amusement park in the downtown area. Great progress ☺️
Looks great! I live in Tampa so I love seeing other Florida city influences. Subscribed :)
You could put an old aircraft carrier on the waterfront. A lot of American cities have retired ships as museums. You could look at Charleston SC, or Corpus Christi TX for inspiration.
I think the beach is a great idea, but they'd have to spend lots of money on beach replenishment to stop all the sand being eroded away! Maybe you could add a couple more breakwaters at intervals along the beach to act as groynes?
You should take a look at Panama City, Panama. In front of the Hilton hotel, the quay is right up on the open ocean then there is some green space to blend in one of the main avenues.
I really like it
Great vid, keep it up!
I love your builds ^^
You are the best Cities Skylines player and youtuber ever! Go on!
i watch at half speed and still find it fast.
I think for this project the more smaller BLOCKS of flats like 4-6 or 2-4 floors i think it will look very good
very nice very nice are you going to ad a airport? and good job on skyline i like it very much
I don't understand why would such a tiny island have tall buildings like those... That doesn't make sense to me. It would be better if it was more a village/resort vibe, with more nature. I'm kinda tired of always seeing super huge cities and buildings on Skylines YT channels out there. But, it is your call ofc, and what you do, you do it always great.

If you like the nature side of Cities Skylines, I recommend two dollars twenty's Marble Mountain series.

@@mimikal7548 I already follow that series but even there you have a big city.
Mind what assets your buildings are? I love them I just want something that’s good but not this huge building.
Nice builds
I have a question Tazer, Are you going to publish the Map for Riverton Bay? Because I would love to use it for my city.
This kind of reminds me of Florida with all the palm trees and stuff. That’s my opinion
1:12 that would have been cool
What is the map if you see this comment tell me please thank you
Go into playback options and slow the video speed down a lil
Seeing all the CS build videos over the past years made me being so used to the speed of the time lapse. Its much more irritating to me watching videos in real time speed ;D

If you mean change/adjust the position of buildings, "Move It" mod. For maximum customization, there is also the "Procedural Objects" mod, although that may be going too far for some.
can you pls get the us traffic lights like in new toulouse
How do you play with unlimited money and fight the urge to not just mass build?
And and and and and
can you tell me your pc parts

His pronunciation is correct, its actually pronounced like "key". I thought it was pronounced like "kway" for a good chunk of my life and was blown away when I found out its actually pronounced like "key" LOL

Well, you'd think so from the way it's spelled, but this is actually the correct pronunciation.
It’s too fast. I can’t watch it. Sorry bro.
