Canadian buildings, American road signs, and European infrastructure. Truly a global collaboration!

I love how Cities:Skylines players create far better cities than are done in the real world! Quality public space, quality multi-modal infrastructure, etc. Damn, it's so pleasing (and a bit depressing on the other hand)

Can you add better default buildings? Like more realistic and better looking ones?
This game could be considered a form of modern art because of people like you around!
I feel sorry for people in wheelchairs that have to get to the platform at the station in the beginning of the video :P
lmao! the last person/youtuber will handle this series/challenge needs a super-powerful graphics card I guess😂caused there was might be heaps of assets that they used and mods. lol
This is a really cool build. While (in general) I don’t particularly love the Vancouver style,it looks really good here, and I love the way the whole hugs the tracks. I like that you considered some backstory for it, too - the railyard idea is actually pretty plausible. I’ll be excited to see how the whole project turns out, because this is a really awesome contribution.

It reminds me a bit of Manchester in the UK as well - it has lots of new buildings set against a Victorian industrial infrastructure.

As those elevated arch viaducts look fairly historic I was thinking perhaps an old gasworks, most old towns and cities used to have one as they originally made town gas from coal to power the lamps and such these days they are electric and gas supplies are natural gas instead so they left a big empty site. These would almost always be found next to a railway line or the water too as it was the only way to get enough coal supplies back then.
Bulldozing the train yard and building a new district is exactly what happened in the town I lived in when I did study abroad. I didn't get a chance to visit there but some locals told me about it.
Fun drinking game: Take a shot everytime Tazer says "you know" Haha jk love the attention to detail and backstories that you have for the areas you build. Makes it a lot more engaging! You got yourself a new sub :)
It's so cool that this is being done! Really liking the daily videos on this project and really looking forward to seeing what the other players will end up doing.
The amount of thought and detail you and your fellow CS masters put into Every. Single. Freaking. Building. is astonishing... If I was giving in to my insecurities I'd never load up CS again because I know I could never achieve anything like this. :) (Not with the time I have on my hands to practice, and the laptop I own to handle the mods & assets.)
Can’t wait for this series to really take off, I wonder what the city theme will be
This series is awesome! Not only have I found new builders I didn’t know from before but I’m also getting a ton of inspiration.

It's funny how no one is using the default buildings. Hint to CO if you're making the next cities skylines create better buildings 😉

@@BluePieNinjaTV Well most of them are all based on real buildings so there's plenty of realism in them. It's mostly just the texturing and colour schemes that aren't as nice as workshop buildings

I’ve been waiting for your turn to do some amazing things, and you didn’t disappoint me!
Too many cooks spoil the brooth Too many city skylines creators build a masterpiece
This is so beautiful! It looks like google earth when u zoom out. Your detail is so good! Keep it up!
Im watching the whole series from the beginning and the level of details u guys are making are incredible and applaudable...Best of luck to everyone.
Can I just point out at that around 11:10 you didn't give any of those people trash cans You still did a great job!
This is incredibly wholesome, really enjoyed it :)
the city is shaping up. like how the detailing has a bit of a brutalist feel to it, suits the contemporary theme
I can tell that this series will use a *lot* of smilies and darf buildings, nice work
I've always loved Ur work, this one is again, very beautiful!
How realistic can you make a city Tazer: yes
12:45 that business name - ISWYDT
Love this segment of the challenge, thanks - looks great! Smilies houses and condos have a recognisable style. I'll look for some of the other buildings on the Workshop to go with them. But please put a ramp for wheelchair-users and the mobility-impaired anywhere you put stair access to a building - it's thoughtful, more like real life where in many places it's legally required. No blame to TazerHere - if you're fully able-bodied you may well not think of it. It wasn't until I was put in a wheelchair, then on crutches, by an accident, that I myself realised just how awkward these things are for anyone with permanent or temporary mobility-impairment. A nurse once told me she was taught that 1 in 5 people will have a severe mobility-impairment at least once in their life.
You do have an amazing sense for realism in your builds👍
i like how the objects for the trainstation are from my hometown xD
Very nice detailing indeed👍👍
Detailing is amazing!
Good build, I like the generic architecture, which really could be anywhere.
Nice content! Great music!
A first. I have never seen a St_rbucks with Bike racks. In the US I have to use the bannister to lock my bike. When touring, I prefer local cafes and boulangerie for coffee. Nice episode, great builds.
I liked so much your video but, I think it would be helpful that you watch some videos about landscaping, garden design, urban garden design in order to get more and different ideas to put in the yards and sidewalks of your cities ;)
This kinf of building shown in this video is just to advanced for me😂
Really inspired me to get back into the game
This looks soo cosy
A very good job, as always. The buildings made by Smilies are nice, I use them too, just like a lot of others players I guess. Will you add a save game of your work on the workshop ? It would be great !
The poor guy who got last episode he is going to suffer 1fpd
One learning for similar future projects: Do the commentary (or at least a first sketch of it) immediately after building, not months later when the whole project is ready. The red ticket machines immediately make me associate this with a German railway station (that's the signature color of Deutsche Bahn, the German state-owned railway company). I don't know whether elsewhere they are also used. Of course this fits to the station of Dresden-Neustadt which was built in the previous part. (Though all the English shop signs contrast this again.)
Awesome
The one thing that bugs me about the detailers is that they always make things pretty. Where are all of the large dumpsters that are realistically behind and between every one of these large buildings?
You did an awesome job here and you established a great direction for the city. I was really hoping the others will continue with the Contemporary style and Self Sufficient buildings, but they took a completely wrong turn and ruined it with Skyscrapers and boring American style buildings.
Hey Tazer, This looks awesome! when will there be a new Riverton Bay episode and what song did you use at the intro?
Expensive property, 15m from 6 track rail track.
+Tazerhere @Cities: Skylines can you post all the mods and assets used during the collaboration?

Okay, I loved your build but I think its a bit smaller than it should be, I mean if everyone's part will be this small then it means that this city won't be that great.

Okay, I love this game but you guys are like taking it too far. Why dont the 13 of you get together and write code so that the city auto builds all this detailing instead of spending this insane amount of time detailing it? That way, we can all enjoy the pleasures of what you are doing but we dont have to waste tons of time. I like the detailing but its a lot of time waste. I already spend way to long playing games and the time spent improving cosmetics is just not appealing.
@kaisattelberg5548

Well, then go away and wait for the final overview video. This way, we wont have to put up with your moaning and you wont have to "waste tons of time" watching them build, while still being able to "enjoy the pleasures". And, just so you know, some people find it rather therapeutic to put in this detail by hand. How anybody in todays day and age could think posting a comment like this without backlash could work is far beyond me, and I hope you can appreciate that I didn't delve into my repertoir of insults. Have a nice day.

Honestly that be a pretty cool concept, feed an ai enough detailed cities and it could probably do about 70% of it, as someone who needs to see the city get bigger to stay motivated that be pretty sick.
