I love how Cities:Skylines players create far better cities than are done in the real world! Quality public space, quality multi-modal infrastructure, etc. Damn, it's so pleasing (and a bit depressing on the other hand)

This is a really cool build. While (in general) I don’t particularly love the Vancouver style,it looks really good here, and I love the way the whole hugs the tracks. I like that you considered some backstory for it, too - the railyard idea is actually pretty plausible. I’ll be excited to see how the whole project turns out, because this is a really awesome contribution.

As those elevated arch viaducts look fairly historic I was thinking perhaps an old gasworks, most old towns and cities used to have one as they originally made town gas from coal to power the lamps and such these days they are electric and gas supplies are natural gas instead so they left a big empty site. These would almost always be found next to a railway line or the water too as it was the only way to get enough coal supplies back then.

Bulldozing the train yard and building a new district is exactly what happened in the town I lived in when I did study abroad. I didn't get a chance to visit there but some locals told me about it.

If I was giving in to my insecurities I'd never load up CS again because I know I could never achieve anything like this. :) (Not with the time I have on my hands to practice, and the laptop I own to handle the mods & assets.)

Love this segment of the challenge, thanks - looks great! Smilies houses and condos have a recognisable style. I'll look for some of the other buildings on the Workshop to go with them. But please put a ramp for wheelchair-users and the mobility-impaired anywhere you put stair access to a building - it's thoughtful, more like real life where in many places it's legally required. No blame to TazerHere - if you're fully able-bodied you may well not think of it. It wasn't until I was put in a wheelchair, then on crutches, by an accident, that I myself realised just how awkward these things are for anyone with permanent or temporary mobility-impairment. A nurse once told me she was taught that 1 in 5 people will have a severe mobility-impairment at least once in their life.

One learning for similar future projects: Do the commentary (or at least a first sketch of it) immediately after building, not months later when the whole project is ready. The red ticket machines immediately make me associate this with a German railway station (that's the signature color of Deutsche Bahn, the German state-owned railway company). I don't know whether elsewhere they are also used. Of course this fits to the station of Dresden-Neustadt which was built in the previous part. (Though all the English shop signs contrast this again.)

Okay, I love this game but you guys are like taking it too far. Why dont the 13 of you get together and write code so that the city auto builds all this detailing instead of spending this insane amount of time detailing it? That way, we can all enjoy the pleasures of what you are doing but we dont have to waste tons of time. I like the detailing but its a lot of time waste. I already spend way to long playing games and the time spent improving cosmetics is just not appealing.

Well, then go away and wait for the final overview video. This way, we wont have to put up with your moaning and you wont have to "waste tons of time" watching them build, while still being able to "enjoy the pleasures". And, just so you know, some people find it rather therapeutic to put in this detail by hand. How anybody in todays day and age could think posting a comment like this without backlash could work is far beyond me, and I hope you can appreciate that I didn't delve into my repertoir of insults. Have a nice day.
