Since my college days early 80s colon street or the intire downtown area is bustling.always busy.lots of department store start from former gaisano south(i think now is gaisano capitol?)down to rositas.or best buy mart.lots of cinema houses lining up too.its the center of shopping/commerce before very accessible to all universities and churches..until now its full of people from all walks of life as what ived seen on this video.its been along time i havent been there. Miss the chaos in colon strip.maingay na masaya ingatan lang ang ating mga wallet at jewelry. Actually its not advisable to wear genuine jewelry while walking there better wear fancy one.maraming snatchers noong panahon ko ewan ko lang ngayon im sure meron pa rin

Kung Cebu ang oldest city sa Pilipinas.. ano ang tawag sa mas MALALAKING earlier settlements ng mga Filipino? Merong mga KINGDOMS at mga pre Hispanic Sultanates pa that already exists. . Ano po ang kaya ang tawag sa kanila? Nagiging city lang ba ang isang lugar dahil tumira dito ang mga Kastila? May mainam siguro kung tatawaging itong 1st Spanish settlement sa Pilipinas. At during the 1st survey ng population sa Pilipinas na ginawa ng mga Kastila.. mas maraming settlements na higit na mas malaki pa ang populasyon compared to Cebu City. BTW, may nabasa ako na the Kingdom of Butuan is aeveral hundred years older than the Cebu City settlement.

By history sir, always remember that the King of Limasawa suggested Magellan to proceed to Kingdom of Sugbo asking where can we replenish our stocks for voyage continuation, so it means and all means precolonial period Cebu has been a strong trading hub post.

"OLDEST" "CITY" in the entire 7,000 plus archipelago and the "ORIGINAL" ( FIRST☝ ) "Capital City" of the Phils. Way Too Late to get rid of 'em' spaghetti wires. They've been like that since the "Invention of Electricity" and "Street Lights".

@@lapulapupintado2892 too late for lazy and incompetent government officials but it's not impossible.. I've seen old cities in different countries, they managed to burry their electric and telephone wires. With the technology that we have now, it can be done. See what Davao city has been doing.
