Downhill Running Form | Save Your Knees

Here are a few Tips on Running Form when Running downhill:
- relax your shoulders
- tilt your pelvis in (engage your core to have a straight body)
- slightly lean your body forward (not from the hood, from the feet!)
- land under your body (don’t overdtride)
- push the back of your head upwards (save your spinal cord)
- use your arms for balance if you need to
- look ahead and make sure your concentrated on the trail / road
A fall while running downhill or a twisted ankle can be very punishing.

Wrecked my I.T. bands running wrong downhill. Wish I knew this before.

This is stupid.. steep Downhill and you will accelerate more snd land on your face.. I doubt running Downhill trashed your IT band.. you must have had exciting problems
My side of knees kill after running downhill because I didn’t know this technique… going to try this out

Ah so it's natural to let your arms out running downhill. I thought I was being silly. But do feel balance better

arms play an important role in your running form, and are part of the running motion. However its important to adapt to whatever terrain your running on / terrain. I use my arms for balance all the time, and watching elite trail runners, they do it as well ;) so no worries

Do this and you will double your speed.. hope your Downhill aint too long becouse you will trash your quads..
