As you may be aware, Microsoft have released a new Outlook. This new Outlook no longer supports COM Add-ins which is what Ferret’s Tools for Office / Outlook use to integrate with the old Outlook. They have instead built it to only use Web Add-ins.
This change has impacted many hundreds of add-ins worldwide. For some, it is relatively easy to build a new Web add-in. However, for Ferret it is not that simple, as our Outlook Tool has a prompt-to-save-on-Send function which is not easily replicated in a web add-in.
Suffice to say, Ferret is working hard on coming up with a solution that will not remove existing functionality. In the meantime, please continue using the old Outlook in order to keep the Ferret Outlook Tool working.
