How are there people that didn't notice that this is fake? It's a parody of the Dove Campaing. The first drawing is a picture of Brad Pitt, for God's sake. Actually, all are drawings of famous people, and not of the men who were there.

I'm sorry but as soon as the 2 comparisons I could not stop laughing. The real one was empowering but I'm a sucker for comedic spins

I think this piece is brilliant. After watching the real dove sketch, its a great demonstration on how differently men and women think. Exaggerated a bit, but its still clear that men are more comfortable and happy with themselves than women are. It's not sexist; its fact.

For those that recognized it was a parody off the bat, I think you're being a little mean to those of us who didn't know that at first. Usually parody's don't have good acting and are way more obvious. Yes, looking back at it, I can recognize that it's not real. But I'm sure there are a lot of things you all don't know, that may be obvious to others!

Mitchell McCallum They'd sign a contract beforehand, get paid. Anything that happaens after is out of their hands. I mean how could you possibly think this couldn't happen? The media and reality tv shows twist things all the times.. Leave stuff out.. edit it in a certain way.. It just blows my mind that you think this couldn't really happen. Obviously it was all over the top with the insults and portraits, but that's a different point.

The best thing about this is how TRUE it is! lol I was on a dating site, and almost EVERY SINGLE MAN called himself "handsome" or "good looking," and after a while, I was like, really? Where do men get their self-esteem from? lol

with Dove real beauty, my tears were about to fall..but with this one, tears were falling like pouring rain.. hahaha.. good job!

To be fair, Dove has tailored campaigns to this "real beauty" angle for awhile now, and seems genuinely committed to the messaging, through their consistency and model selection anyway. This is not their first such campaign, and is almost certain not to be their last.

I don't appreciate this video at all. The original video made by Dove was a campaign for real beauty and something really good in this world. Using words like "rapey" are totally disgusting and inappropriate and are adding to rape culture in this world. This is not something that should be viewed as humorous in any way, shape, or form.

I can't change anyone's opinion. I know that this is fake, but I personally still don't appreciate it. I am a feminist but I also believe that men have rights as well. The original video shows that many people feel awful about how they look and I think this is true for men as well.this mocks that she I hate how people believe that it is okay to try to make fun of such a meaningful message. Not all men think of themselves like the ones in this video. Again this is a personal opinion.

The question is, is this a sharp, incisive parody or just playing into the old stereotypes about submissive women and confident men?

Rebecca Hicks Possibly, but I am reminded of all the crude portrayals of everything from blacks to homosexuals to women that appear in a 'comedic' context (See the Scary Movie series for examples of all three.) under the guise of parodying stereotypes. To me this overlaps with the oft-seen portrayal of men as unrefined, unintelligent and unconcerned about physical appearance. I could easily see it made into a beer ad. (Woman in front of mirror, frets about makeup and clothes. Man walks by, scruffy, disheveled. Looks admiringly at own reflection, cracks open beer. Fin.)
