Wow, what a great interview! Very encouraging - especially starting at around the 44 minute mark. It’s so easy to forget that God is totally committed to building Christ in us, conforming us to the image of Christ. We get all wrapped up in our little battles and trying to succeed at whatever job we think that God has given us to do and we loose sight of the fact that God is more concerned about building bigger things in our own lives. Whatever we think we’re trying to accomplish ‘for God’, He could accomplish in a moment without our help. Are we really committed to building His kingdom, or did we loose our way and we’re back to trying to build our own little claustrophobic kingdom of one? Thank you for the encouragement and for reminding me that whenever I’m discouraged I need to stop and ask myself why - it could be just because MY plans didn’t work out.

This was brilliant! I am a long-time fan of Doug Wilson, first exposed to & impressed with him during his debates with Christopher Hitchens; loved "Collision." Found him easier to absorb in this slower-paced interview format. Also impressed with these 2 young interviewers, who are obviously bright, as evidenced by their comments & questions. That the 3 of you speak from a spiritual/ Biblical foundation made discovering this a wonderful gift-- I wished the discussion went on for days! Thank you all so much. Mote please. ❤

@@Globeguy1337 Have you not noticed the proliferation of podcasts by all the "influential thinkers"? They have their podcast. Then they go on their friends' podcasts. One podcast begets another. I'll interview you. Then you interview me. It's one big round of podcasting. I guarantee you more time is spent in front of the mic than in the prayer closet. I'm not against sermons being broadcast or edifying books being written. What does concern me is the emphasis by pastors now on podcasting. Most of it is preaching to the reformed choir and the time spent creating "content" must be enormous. Something's going to give. And I think that something is the pastor's LOCAL evangelism.

@@RecalledtoLife Fair concern. Especially if they feel pressured to push out ‘content’ on schedule rather than when it will be edifying. The choir does still need preaching to, though, as it is still made of weak sinners, and much of that choir has gone off-key or on to another song entirely.

Two responses to the sand castle on the beach : 1) you don't know that the incoming tide will destroy the castle, so build it, and 2) don't build a sand castle, build a stone castle.

...on sand! Lol J/k Friend. We can expect incoming tides to destroy parts due to Judgement (of the Righteous sort) and We are Assured that This KINGdom and this Castle will not be destroyed to the point that We do not continue to grow and progress. We must the connect the Building of Us by GOD, with the building of ..WhatEver It Is that GOD Commanded, in Faithful Obedience.

Many good teachings as usual but the real deep problem I think is that the heart of men is wicked this is why sins continue to grow and this is why all men will not be saves at the end of the present age. Feminist is recent and before it was also wicked in this world, so with feminism it become more wicked , this is the way the natural man live , he cannot see God or believe in Him , we need God intervention to believe. Merci.

~12:00 The Copernican Revolution is a culprit, too. "It looks like the sun is going across the sky, but that's an illusion. What's really going on is..." I'm not a flat-earther, btw. I just don't think we should teach the solar system to children before we assess what that knowledge does to their character. If we're going to talk preconditions for current craziness, then this is a big one. Just look at a model of the solar system and ask, "How does a knowledge of this effect my life?"

39:40 Doug skirts the question regarding generational faithfulness. As a covenantal presbyterian he can't really come to terms with the fact that his grandchildren or great-grandchildren may not be saved or remain faithful. Thus, the big walk around about God "cheating."

That kinda comes down to this: Is your attention on the Lord's faithfulness more than man's, or is your attention on man's faithfulness (or unfaithfulness) more than the Lord's? If your attention is dominated by man, then you will be cynical at best.

@@RecalledtoLife I apologize, as I didn't realize your question was about credo- vs paedobaptism. I have not been won over to paedobaptism, myself, but even so, this aspect of the hardline credobaptist view is actually quite cynical. In other words, as a credobaptist, I disagree with your original comment and find it an unfair take on paedobaptism.

@@fiery_hunter3271 Oh, thanks. You apologize but then you reiterate the same charge of cynicism. It is not cynical to genuinely believe that paedo baptism is not taught in Scripture or that Doug believes you can be in the covenant one day and out the next. Feminism has been fake since 2015. The end of the Michigan Women's Music Festival was the canary in the coal mine. The feminist youth were coached by biotech wielding villains into turning on the elders who built the community they enjoyed. It was the largest lesbian/feminist organization in the country, an annual mecca. Well, MWMF is gone now, and feminism is still plagued. They were taken down by the children convinced that a man in a lab coat can change them with a magic potion. The elder Feminists, obviously, didn't fall for the lie. Feminists failed to resist the Devil's offer. As such, they are playing the role of test-subject for our exciting new sciences. That isn't a wise bargain, but science will benefit nicely.
