    I don’t know which one I like more, the case analysis or the tangents. I really enjoyed the commentary on wars. This is such an unusual case and I would agree that both casualties were separate events. Thank you guys for sharing your thoughts with us. Much love.💜💜💜

    Very interesting about the Vietnam War. Your breakdown of this strange case is really detailed too. I'll vote in another message later. Thanks Dr G, Mike, Jeff 😊💛💛

    @Mike, I had a 100-pound German shepherd who dragged me into a busy street on an icy day. On another day, she pulled me off my bike right over my handlebars after spotting a squirrel. The best investment I ever made in regards to dog accessories was a Halti head harness. If the dog tries to pull on the leash, the harness is designed to redirect the dog's head back in your direction, and whichever direction a dog's head is pointed is the direction they travel. I never had another safety issue walking her again. Trust me, it was worth EVERY PENNY!

    Besides Anarchapulco, another case you might find interesting that comes out of Springfield, Illinois (my hometown) is Mark Winger, who murdered his wife and a taxi driver via a plot of setting up the taxi driver with known mental illness and luring him to the home, and almost getting away with it until pressure from the taxi driver's family opened up a new investigation. The case was largely circumstantial. Lots of interesting elements: "crazy" person did it angle, Winger celebrated oddly as a hero and riding that wave, the evidence presented against him. Oh, and Springfield, so The Simpsons and all... By the way, I love this podcast so much. I mean, you are all so interesting and the combination of knowledge in so many areas, plus the counselor/psychology analyses, plus the nice combination of personalities with the dry humor make for intriguing listening experiences.

    I vote for the red Honda Civic of death-it’s just more exciting than the baseball bat. The snake looks great Mike-I can’t wait to see cocaine bear. This was a great episode-keep them coming! The tangents stole the show as always. I’d enjoy hearing you all talk about history more-it’s always interesting, and I enjoy hearing your insights.

    There's nothing that I could ever relate to so much as Mike's story about him and the dog crossing the street. And please don't get me wrong...I'm not saying with toddlers or young children, being run over, such a tragedy. I can't even imagine? But Mike's story, about meeting this awesome lady, being so enamoured by how she named some of of her pets? You can't help thinking these two were made to be.❤

    In WWI, we had 110,000 of our boys killed in 110 days of fighting in someone else's war. The majority of Americans had no appetite to fight overseas. The isolationism was very reasonable.

    What are your options on people who are transgender? Do you think it is a mental illness? Thanks

  • @disgruntledmoderate5331

    @disgruntledmoderate5331

    10 ай бұрын

    Gender dysphoria is a diagnosis, but being transgender is not a mental illness. Throughout much of history, particularly not western history, it has been common to have more than just two gender identities (man and woman). It is more of a western culture and more recent thing to fit into one of those two boxes only.
