Doug is completely right about the early sound of McFly (particularly Room On The 3rd Floor) being super feelgood. beach boys harmonies, overall influence of bands from the 60’s but mixed with the Pop Punk sound of that time. The debut album from McFly is possibly my favourite album of all time.
Love hearing all Dougie’s stories!
He is such a great bassist. Always having great baselines in an eara where you could coast on root notes
