Doug Gust Dominates 2004 Redbud ATV National
The Z400 era has been a major talking-point following our conversation with TC Racing Engines’ Tom Carlson on a recent episode of the Digging Deep ATVMX Podcast. This is an era in ATV racing I will forever adore. Redbud has always been my favorite, but hard-packed Redbud was probably the version that I loved the very most. For the nearly two decades since, every trip to Redbud I would envision what it would be like if we still raced across the start straight into that big bowl corner like we did back then. I remember sitting on the starting gate as a young boy and thinking to myself, my heroes are RIGHT THERE on the track in front of me. It was surreal because these guys were larger than life to me. Biggest of all was my idol “Digger” Doug Gust, who entered his “home” race at RedBud in 2004 riding a five-race winning streak. This is what happened next!…Watch the video version of Episode 104 here on our Digging Deep KZread channel and listen to the audio version wherever podcasts can be acquired!

This was the first pro atv event I ever attended. It was a life changing day
