The best thing about this episode is not that it's 3 hours with Doug, but a 3 hour conversation between friends who adore each other

The mics picking up the audio from hands table tapping is BRUTAL.

God I loved this episode. Have been consuming Farah/Doug content since JUNIOR HIGH (2013), so neat to hear variations of conversations I have heard for ages.

Sometimes I think I've hit the button and haven't, and vice versa. Also, I can't google as quick as Doug thinks/speaks.

Nothing wrong with everyone that shows up in the podcast, but the conversation between you guys and Doug it's just different and I love it, I could hear you guys talk about random stuff all day.

@thesmokingtirepodcast I'm in the insurance business. Definitely have been seeing it a lot mostly since COVID where certain cars have difficulty getting parts. I mostly see it with Hondas, Fords, Kias/Hyundais, and Teslas where parts are on backorder almost indefinitely. From people not wanting to work, to fears of COVID breakouts in shops, to chip issues worldwide, things got really rough on repair processes. It's been getting better little by little I'd say over the last 6 months.

LT4 engines are ‘96 Corvette motors (with manual trans) not ZR1 engines. Never thought Id hear Doug make negative political comments. Kind of expect it from Matt though. Dig the contributions to the community on both sides however. Wish there was a Gucci garage option in my neck of the woods

I only hate driving in places with lots of speed cameras, not because im going fast all the time or im a reckless driver its just that I hate having to be checking my speedo all the time.

2:42:30 I would LOVE if more manufacturers did this. Aftermarket radios have been becoming more and more of a sore thumb in the design department over the past few years after actually having some OEM looking units not even a decade ago. Porsche is making a great choice by offering new infotainment systems for their older models

I was 10 in 2014. I had just got into cars, JDM cars in particular, and I remember, I had watched literally every single video that featured a skyline or a supra or an rx7 on KZread. And it wasn't even saying much because there really weren't any. I remember i was sooo pumped when matt made that video in NZ with that silver gtr. It was literally the only new video on a r34 gtr untill doug reviewed the bayside blue car. Now literally everyone either has one or atleast has a video on one.

I liked the part where they said “look at this!” *gesturing at the screen* ….and then didn’t share the screen with the audience. A+ production work.

Doug is that kinda guy that makes one listen to his conversation for 3 hours in a single day. Great interview TST

I was in lisbon, visiting from Massachusetts with a freshly sprained ankle the same time Matt was there 😂 and yes the UMM is basically the only car Portugal ever made. They're just like a Jeep or Hummer in America.

Legit made my day when I saw this Tuesday. Two of my favorite car enthusiasts and journalists.

e450 is such a dream car where I live that calling it a boring daily driver hurts my soul. I watch only a few car channels and one of them is HARRY'S. The man's life is the DREAM. Knowing Doug watches him is incredibly satisfactory because I've always been a geeky enthusiast too. Harry is putting out the best enthusiast content precisely because he does not need to chase numbers.

I was one of those kids who watched Matt when I was in high school lol. I used to watch MTV music videos, then take a shower and get breakfast. Then watch his old Garage 419 and early The Smoking Tire videos before I went to school.

This is exactly what I needed. My workday went from tiresome to entertaining! ❤️❤️

All 3 of these amigos have been able to drive some of the most incredible cars in the world. Most likely they aren't celebrities to most but to car people they are the chosen ones

I love these episodes. Need one once a year. My problem with the mache and every non Tesla EV, is the charging networks are a joke compared to Tesla. The hassle of the payment system and just how many of the non Tesla chargers are broken or don’t charge near the advertised rate.

Matt and Doug are real friends! This is so cool for the car culture ☺️
