Doug Brinley Fireside

The Utah County Single Adults (UCSA) serves Latter-Day Saint single adults ages 46 and up. (Mid-singles age 31-45 that want to participate with us are also welcome.)
The UCSA is under Priesthood leadership of the Area Authority Seventy and a coordinating council of representatives from Latter-day Saint stakes and wards throughout Utah County.

Douglas Brinley is professor emeritus of Church history and doctrine at Brigham Young University. He graduated from Utah State University in economics and received a doctorate in family studies. He came to BYU in 1990 after twenty-four years as a seminary and institute teacher. He served as an institute director in California and Hawaii and as a mission
president in Dallas, Texas, from 1987 to 1990.. He and his wife, Geri Brinley,
have six children. Douglas E. Brinley graduated in economics from Utah State University, obtained a master's degree from Utah State, and later received a Ph.D trom Brigham Young University in family studies. He has authored or co- authored ten books, nine of which are on marriage and family relations. He has written a non-marriage book about America in Peril.

    I may have been in that same class. Also was in the men’s chorus at that time. Good memories.

    Mobile, AL I would like to add, when my Sweetheart and I were engaged to be married, we attended a class taught by Brother Brinley, at the Institute in Ogden, Utah, in 1977.
