    The other thing to think about is “do you need a 9x13 for each meal”? Is that too much food/leftovers? Take a 9x13 recipe and bake it in smaller pans. I use 3 smaller glass pans with lids, eat 1, freeze 2

    I love both of you ladies so much. Your personalities and humor are what I like in a video. The hosts that are serious and never do anything but cook I no longer watch! I have never seen any kind of Shepard pie like that version of your mom’s! I think I will try the two types of corn. I also wanted to say I have no idea why you guys have not got thousands more subscribers. You both deserve it. I loved seeing your cat playing piano. What talent! Meow wow!! Thanks for another great video.

    That is the “shepherds pie” I grew up with! And then as an adult learned it usually has mixed veggies?! I learned the one with corn only is a French Canadian type pie also called Pâté Chinois. I actually made some the other day for my freezer! Seeing the corn on the counter in the video brought me back to childhood! ❤ Life in the lofthouse also has a great shepherds pie recipe using mixed veggies.

    I’m from the US and I grew up with ground beef in shepherds pie also, in fact I didn’t eat lamb until I was in my 30s and don’t eat it now.

    I loved seeing your cat 🐈 playing the piano but the detail in your mom's Shepard pie is priceless! I grew up calling it hamburger pure and all I got when I asked mom for most of her recipes was a list of ingredients no measurements just what all went into it. She told me to just taste it till it tastes right. Thank you sooooo much for saving me from what's for dinner brain!❤

    IVe been making 2 meals at once for years. I had tried other freezer meal methods but you two have made a giant change in my methods. Right now we are trying different recipes in the club and rating them. I have made 19 different meals. This is a great change for us. I plan to make your red sauce next (and maybe can it). Thanks so much!

    That is awesome! We feel like we have it down to a science, so we're glad we could teach you a few new things! lol Good luck with canning the red sauce! Neither of us are canners, but it would probably can beautifully and it's great to have on hand. I usually freeze mine, but canning is great too.

    Since joining your club I am always looking for opportunities to add something to the freezer, either by cooking one and freezing one, or converting something to a freezer meal. Your recipes are great, but I also like the challenge of coming up with my own. Amazing how much you can make into a freezer meal. The last casserole is something I make layering the beef mixture and corn mixture with tater tots finishing with the tots on top. This makes a great freezer meal, too!

    I’ve been doing this the last week. Making bigger batches of supper and then bagging up the rest into freezer bags into family portions. I’ve gotten, 3 shredded chicken, 3 turkey divan, 4qt and 4 pts of turkey broth, 1 extra casserole mixing in the freezer. Oh and 1 sausage tortellini soup.

    Love the double your dinner concept. Please do more of these “doubles” or create a double series 😊 I absolutely Love your mega meal videos, but could you do a “Baby Steps” video series to step up to a mega marathon. The reason I ask is that I’m terrified of doing a mega session by myself and would love some combinations of 5 recipes where you make 15 total meals for example. Maybe a turtle version of your mega marathon where you do few and show how to build your freezer stockpile 😊 Again absolutely love your videos! Thank you for suggesting the veggie option!

    I love the Piano Playing Kitty Cat. And yes you should make multiples of the FMs that you and your family love. I would caution all to be sure to try them out before you make several of anything, so you won't wind up with several dishes that no one likes. Test them out first. You can also change them up by adding or subtracting ingredients.Have fun with them, try something new. Peace.

    I would like to join the club but I am worried that there will not be a lot of recipes that I can have. For our family some can't have preservatives, some can't have sugar, some can't have gluten, and nightshades which includes tomatoes. For those in the club are there a lot of recipes that don't include these?

  • @FreezerMeals101

    @FreezerMeals101

    3 ай бұрын

    Hi there, we have over 350 recipes in the Club. We have filters for more common food requirements, like gluten-free or dairy-free. We have a low-calorie filter which may help you eliminate foods with high sugar content. We use honey a lot as a sweetener because we like to make our own sauces from scratch, rather than a bottle of Teriyaki for example. So you could adjust the sugar content to your liking if you need to. We also many recipes with no sugar at all. There really isn't much of a substitute for tomatoes unfortunately. We have many recipes with no tomatoes, but no specific filter for finding those recipes easily. Preservatives can be a tricky one. We have a lot of "from scratch" recipes where you can control what goes into the recipe, but I can't comment on what preservatives are in canned goods, soy sauce, chicken broth, etc. I don't think anyone expects us to use homemade chicken broth in our videos or recipes, but if that is something that they need to do for their own families, then that is up to them. My suggestion to you, is to try the monthly membership for a month or two and familiarize yourself with our recipes and use the filters to see if it's helpful in finding the right recipes for you. I can guarantee you can save yourself more than the monthly fee if you made a handful of recipes a couple of times. You can cancel anytime, so if you find that there isn't enough variety or recipes that suit your dietary needs, then you can drop the membership. My other suggestion is to look at our website freezermeals101.com. Its recipes are the same as in the Club but they are a few weeks/months behind, but for the most part, they're all there. If you're finding we have recipes that your family will like and can have, then the Club will be a good option for you. Thanks so much for watching and I hope the Club can work for you!
