Girls Generation really Nation girlgroup. Their discography are timeless, no skip, each of them are shining on their own, no one overshadowed. 2nd gen groups are really something, i used to listen a lot of 2nd gen music lists : GG, bigbang, beast (highlight), apink, sistar, suju. All of their musics are certified bops❤ The one who did most high notes in you think is Seohyun she did a lot musical opera so yes for stable voice, just like key and onew from shinee. GG main and lead vocals in rank are Taeyeon, Seohyun, Jessica, Tiffany, Sunny.

"DJ, put it back on" is indeed iconic. That was a HUGE moment in their concerts

I got into K-pop during second gen, so seeing and hearing how much you love the second gen sound makes me wish you were reacting back then! Definitely a different era now, but second gen still hits so hard. Thank you for your reactions!! :)

Since no one seems to remember my girl Tiffany she also sang the background adlibs in you think, she sang the "you're not" first before the "boy you ain't cooler than me nah" AND then Seohyun sang the "you're not". 41:18 Tiffany 41:20 Tifanny 41:27 Seohyun 41:29 Seohyun and that order is the same for the second chorus

When "You Think" was released it was criticized for being too sexy and racy as a concept but then if you see kpop nowadays, outfit wise and all is a lot more inappropriate and thats whats popular nowadays. I guess SNSD is always ahead of their time like how I Got A Boy was released. 😂

HyoYeon Deep performance at last SMCU Concert is really IT!! She owned that stage!

I love how much you really honed in on some of the more underappreciated members. Hyoyeon was always the least popular member when the group was regularly active. Her solo career really seems to be going well for her and garnering her more popularity. I'm frankly delighted for her. Sooyoung was the one who's name you asked for during the You Think mv reaction. She's my bias wreaker but she's traditionally been the second least popular along with Hyoyeon. Honestly though, she's so beautiful, is an amazing dancer (probably helped by the fact that she has legs for miles) and has the best vocals of the dance line. And lastly, Seohyun. Out of the vocal line (Taeyeon, Tiffany, Seohyun, Sunny and Jessica pre-2014), her vocals tend to fly under the radar. While in the group, she did a lot of the vocal ad-libs, not so much the belts. She's probably the second or third strongest singer in the group but a lot of people overlooked her back in the day.

46:12 is Sooyoung! She mostly acts/hosts television programs now. She just recently was the host for HYBE’s competition show “R U Next” 😊 51:38 That’s Seohyun! Maknae of the group and also mostly acts now but she is one HELL of a vocalist!

In regards to what you were saying about their choreo and TikTok, that actually was a thing during that time, but in a different form. Learning kpop choreos alone or with friends was a really common hobby of Korean teenagers so having choreography that was fun & easy to do was a huge marketability factor. it largely contributed to the success of numerous songs at that time like Gee by Girls' Generation, Roly-Poly by T-ara, Tell Me by Wonder Girls etc etc. Also, on a related note, for years after it came out Genie was the #1 song covered by men in the army XD

What about their concert in Madison Square Garden, followed by the one in the Hollywood Bowl, followed by the one PAID for by Googol? I don't think the audience will ever again get a chance to hear them for free.

Officially SNSD/Girls' Generation are known as THE Nation's Girl Group of S.Korea. Seeing you check out Gen 2 makes me so happy. SNSD were one of the top groups in the 2010s. They released so many hits that it was expected that they were always going to be played EVERYWHERE. Brings back happy memories from my early teenage years when I used to listen to groups like SNSD every day.

Also a fun fact, their b-side called "You Better Run" in their 15th anniversary album, it is a sort of connection, or continuation of "Run Devil Run" in terms of lyrics, just in case you want to do an album reaction or any other reaction for SNSD. The titles for each chapter in the "Lion Heart" music video are b-sides to the album, like "Green light", "Sign" and etc, you get it, as well as the date and time the lion is supposed to meet the girls is 08.05 which is SNSD's debut date. Several people have mentioned their appearance at Madison Square Garden, but I haven't seen anyone else mention their appearance at The Hollywood Bowl, or their special appearance following that at the commission of Google south of San Francisco. I am going to kick myself forever for missing the chance to see them there, so I doubt I will ever see them live! Since Google was paying for it, it was actually free for the audience. Can you imagine? I was too unwell then, and now I'm way to broke to afford it even if they ever came back to America. Steve P.

Up to this day, Tell Me Your Wish is still my 2nd favorite KPOP song of all time, behind Into the New World. God...their choruses were so melodious...even in their 2022 comeback. I miss SNSD so much. EDIT: Fun fact about Mr. Mr., SM lost nearly all of the footage and the MV was delayed when the song was already out. They had to use some behind the scenes footage of their photobook pictorials BAHAHA. EDIT2: Seohyun's split in You Think's choreography was censored by music shows so she had to do the one-legged crouch for the rest of the short promotion. You Think and Lion Heart were actually a double-single and Lion Heart won out and therefore got extended promotions, winning them 14 music shows.
