why they have different colored emergency light bars on roof top; one car has all red and other has red and blue lights? is there any different in type of police service/unit because it looks both police cars are from same highway patrol unit ? how did this go at least in those time when film was made?

The inspiration here must have been H. B. Halicki's "Gone in 60 Seconds" 3 years earlier. The "chase" down the stairs on the hillside -- priceless. Chase after chase, with cars and on foot as well. 1:19:58 is amazing, an actual CARJACKING with a hanggun. This move was a lot rarer back in the days than it is today. In the finalé, it is amazing how they can destroy all the tents and stands at the swap meet -- yet hit nobody. This film holds up to 1974's "Gone in 60 Seconds."

Jack Vacek was the voice of the WK90 Officer on Gone in 60 Seconds and also a secondary camera operator. Jack and his then girlfriend, Patrice Schubert wrote this film. They got money from Jack's father; John, and I'm sure Toby Halicki helped out as well with either cars, money, filming equipment or all of the above. I have a sneaking suspicion Toby would have been more involved with this movie, if not starring in it; had he not been embroiled in several law suits at the time. He had been slapped with a pretty serious cease and desist charge while filming the first attempt at "Gone in 60 Seconds - 2". The footage he had shot would sit in the can until it could be used in "The Junkman" in 1981.

EVERY TIME ANYTHING PASSES ON THE ROAD -- one of the two cops start to chase the vehicle, whatever it is. We have no clue as to the "why." Love that way back in 1977, the Black dude heading the auto theft ring already had a mobile phone in his Benz. That was pretty rare back then, and pricey. 21:55 Love it when the four dudes pull in with the Green Mercedes sedan through the Bel Air West Gate. Used to drive someone who lived 2 minutes from the West Gate on Bellagio Road right when the movie was made. Small world. 28:05 How about getting a gallon of fuel at the local 76 filling station? Regular is 64 cents a gallon, high test is 66 cents. Those were the days, surely. Definitely.

Trice Schubert (Jordan) co-wrote "Double Nickel" (as Patrice Schubert). Sister of Heidi Schubert (Tami) and Norman Schubert (Bodyguard). Some families get together for BBQs or reunions. Motorcycles got much bigger in the 80s. I had 90cc in the 60s and 250cc in the 70s and 900cc in the 80s and three 1500s a few years ago. I like my big bikes a lot better.

@@-oiiio-3993 750 Honda is a fun bike and has plenty of pickup speed, the inline 4 cylinder ones. The bikes like 1500s just take a little while to get used to the difference. It heavier and has plenty of power and is wider, more comfortable but the old 750s would beat it in speed.

I voted to keep the premieres when you had that poll. I've CHANGED my mind. Not because I can't wait or don't appreciate the movies, but rather I find myself skipping your movies thinking they're all premieres, which they're not. Just food for thought that maybe your missing part of your audience with the premier part of your program.

I loved watching this movie, thanks for putting it KZread. Looking back on growing up in the 1970s was fun. We had time to play and things were not that complicated as they are now. I liked the pinball machine... reminded me of this one hangout joint I used to visit. Cops nowadays are like little morons with a programmed setting. Back in the day cops were normal people who voiced their own opinion and not company policy. Back then the cops carried revolvers and a shotgun, now they are armed with pepper spray, stun gun, pistols with extra magazines, cameras, shotguns, assault rifles and knives. The police cars are like self-contained assault units with cameras and computers. There is a remote chance if one can get away from the cops in a car chase, don't try it sucker. Lol... great movie.
