S. N. The space inside the guitar also gets bigger, so I think now it sounds louder. Also you can tune one of them really high to do some high note solos.

Reasons this could be useful: 1) If you use capos a lot, 2) if you have each neck in different tunings, 3) if you arrange the strings differently (something like a ukelele's tuning) and 4) if you can play by tapping the strings. Not saying this was pointless, I'm just giving you some suggestions on how to make full use of your new instrument. :)

Woah the guitar looks really cool. I thinks it's an amazing project, and I'm saying it as a musican who graduated music school. I think it's really creative how you put them together and still get to make them sound good, I bet there would be use for this guitar (since it has two necks it can be tuned two other ways or has capo in diffrent places). Loved it!

Doubleneck guitars have been around since 1952. Thisis what they are for -- i.e., to give performers the option of using two different sounds during the same song (without having to change guitars).

Poderia ter feito um acabamento bem melhor. Já que você colou a fita crepe para protegendo as lâminas na extremidade do corte, poderia ter passado a massa com bem mais cuidado, somente na divisa, para não precisar de lixar a emenda. Mas parabéns. Queria saber como reforçou a emenda por dentro.

If it were an acoustic and a classical put together, that'd be really interesting. I'm not sure if you could ever really get a good sound out of a non-contiguous sound board, and less-than-stable bracing. Resonance might be a little wonky.

Why are all you guys hating on this? Yes, the guitars are cheap. No one's gonna use 1k$ guitars for a project. Why? It looks cool to some people. You can arrange one set of strings differently and make it have an actual purpose besides the looks. He's demonstrating his project. If you're gonna hate on it, have an actual reason besides not finding a use for something that you don't own anyways. Be thankful that he's not shoving this on our faces.

+jamielusions Exactly! There are millions of ways to make it sound good. You could have one in open tuning that you strum occasionally whilst soloing in standard on the other neck, or do a similar thing with basslines, using a capo or tapping. You just have to get creative

Yeah I was surprised contact adhesive kept them together. They resonate quite nicely and seem to hold tune.

This guy is great using a saw freehand...he's got some skills!

For how long I want a classical guitar I can't remember . Still I don't have one. But when You run the saw looking that I feel you run the saw through my heart ...😔

Cool AF ! I'm not sure what the insults are for - jealousy and pettiness would be the 2 top reasons. I just saw this and a few years ago - I thought about taking to 300.00 to 500.00 acoustic guitars - one 6 & one 12 and cutting em just like this and putting em together for a double neck. I wavered back and forth - now I know it can be done ! Great job ! There are reasons why someone would want a double guitar - clearly some of the bozos that have commented on here - are too narrow minded to know why one would want a double necked guitar ! Excellent video !

Uh dude the purpose of a double neck is 12 strings on one neck for rhythm and one 6 string for lead.

Ian Meadows some are 6/12 but there are also some that are 6/4 (guitar on one side bass on the other) some are 6/8 (guitar and mandolin) some are 6/6 (twin necks tuned differently or have different pickup/bridge combos or 6 standard and 6 baritone or bass vi style) and a 6/8 (guitar and lap steel) also with bass it could be 4/4 5/4 5/5 fretted/fretless (ive even seen a 7/7) or a 4/8 (standard bass and 8 string “octave” bass) not to mention various types of harp guitars. There’s really no limit.
