Double Dragon Gaiden - Full Game 1CC (Marian & Uncle Matin / Ending B)
Double Dragon Gaiden is a brand new Double Dragon game from Secret Base. I'm not familiar with this developer, but the good news is they did a great job!
This game has a pretty unique structure for a beat 'em up: you can play the stages in any order, but every time you clear a stage, the difficulty and length of the next one increases. There's also a roguelike reward system in place - each time you clear a section, you can buy a random powerup with the money you earned throughout the stage. You can even tweak the difficulty before you begin playing, by adjusting your HP, the cost of the powerups and continues, and the enemy's stats and aggression level. They had some fresh ideas, and thankfully they executed them very well.
The combat is pretty fun with some tag team mechanics that encourage you to constantly swap between characters. They do this by limiting your use of special attacks and tags - both are tied to your special meter, but you can only start using them when your bar is full. Once you use a special, you can chain a couple more into your combo and tag out at any point, but once your attack ends, you're locked out of specials and tags until you completely refill your bar. So ideally you'll want to use a special or two, then tag in your reserve character. It flows really well and is quite fun to play with.
I wasn't sure if I'd like this game based on the preview videos, but I'm glad I bought it. It's really good, and I haven't played another beat 'em up like it. Give it a shot, I recommend it.
My first video was an Ending A playthrough, which is more like the bad end. Declining the mayor's offer sends you to the final stage where you get to fight him. Thankfully this stage is only one section long, they just pack it with a bunch of enemy types, which is cool. But after playing this more, I'm starting to dislike the balancing. The first 95% of the game is pretty easy, but the bosses towards the end of the game do a ridiculous amount of damage - one mistake can easily end a deathless run. So it's best to just play safe, like I mostly try to do in this video. Marian is pretty OP - you can basically chain combos on bosses and heavy enemies just by using her mine and throwing in some bullet shots or a running attack while the enemies are incapacitated. So a 1CC with her isn't that; I'm not sure how other characters will fare just yet. I can only assume that some will struggle with the final battle - fighting all four bosses at once is kinda silly.
PS. I'll mix up the stage order as much as I can with my runs. It looks like Anubis is the easiest boss to do last; his ultimate form is easier to deal with than his regular one, lol.

I think that Marion is the best character in the game. The phrase "Never bring a knife to a gun fight!" applies here. Her Rocket Launcher special is so good and bodies bosses easily.

She’s the easiest to use. I don’t know about best. This final boss is pretty hard on max difficulty. I beat it but it was hard.

She may not have the Amazon Makeover from "River City Girls 2" but this version tips the hat to the cartoon where she was also a cop. Here, she makes use of her weaponry. Uncle Matin is Mike Haggar with a military police/SWAT background.

Chin, Linda, Burnov and Abobo have no problem hiring themselves out, since "Money spends almost the same all over the place, it doesn't matter whose pockets it came from." And if you have the tokens for unlocking, they signed on.
I just unlocked Abobo and Linda. They are both insanely good. I really like Uncle too. Good run bro

Matin have the Best combo, after the kick rush Light punch jump at the end of jump punch after you can do a loop or use shield combo depend on your objectif but you can combo left to the right or inverse

Something about Marian gunning down Willy is just so cathartic.
The music in this game is awesome!
For her neutral special, Marian uses a GUN. 26:26 also mid airing a dog with a rocket launcher, hilarious Also, nice tokens at the end

She has a taser/whip throw she can snag an enemy with, then sling them into a few other bodies.

Can you disable those crowd control rewards? Being interrupted so frequently by them seens extremely annoying

April from tmnt body build was way better here the one that you unlock has a flat body and clothing like creation mode in wrestling.
I knew issues would surface upon further gameplay. The game has a lot of problems and the 4 bosses at once just makes it more obvious.
Thank Heavens that you think the same about the final stage. I agree, that’s is one heck of a bull crap enemy difficulty choice. I hope they balance this out soon 😓

Best training is on max difficulty cause ennemis have not the same agressivity but i can understand if it's to learn more about the game before real runs, but i think the game is to much differente in max sometimes is more easy and sometimes you can loose for nothing, bosses don't care about your training xd and you have to start at the begining again, me i take a few break only one Day for now i can't beat the final True boss in hard with my team (maybe i should put coins and not one crédit)

@@bobs2712 Yes…screw the final boss. So cheap and annoying. And I hate to see the only easy win so far is spamming Marian(?) rocket attack. That is not how a good game design supposed to be. A good game design must be able to allow ALL playable characters to beat it.

In hard mode don't miss anything by part 3 to 4 cause boss Will not miss you have only 2 hit you can take after it's game over really enjoy the game and hope community too
