@@monkinomkiplay1152 yeah a lot of these are wrong. Some of these aren't even shotguns. For example at 9:46 you can see the mammoth gun from battlefield hardline. This video makes no sense since the manoth gun is a triple barrel big game rifle. It has 3 rifled barrels and shoots rifled projectiles (probably .577 caliber). Not even close to a shotgun in any way. HOG just edited the clip to make it look like it shot them in a spread pattern, but in game it is semi-auto. I don't know why he does dishonest things like this when he could just make good content.

Would be kinda cool to see a game where the protagonist actively struggles to reload the weapon. Like, with those reload times, you can clearly see that most of them are professionals- even the protagonists of ZombiU, which realistically shouldn't be skilled with firearms (save for a few lucky Police Officers, of course). The shaking of their hands, the ever-so-slight error that adds an extra 0.2 seconds to the reload, the occasional jam...

That would actually work depending on the type of game it is. Like an rpg with a skill tree dedicated to gun handling where the farther you get in it, the character visually reloads the gun faster and better.

MW19 does in a campaign mission when you're playing as a child. Slower aiming, LOTS of shaking, massive recoil and grunting every time you fire, struggling to pull the hammer back, and being much slower to reload.

4:51 BioShock 2 Multiplayer’s Elephant Gun uses rifle bullets, not shells. It was meant to be that game’s sniper rifle. So despite it being double barreled and break action, it is not, in fact, a super shotgun. 17:10 Same thing with Deathloop’s Rapier. Just a break action rifle.

Just a quick fix here. While 7 Days to Die released in Early Access in 2013, it only got the Double Barrel Shotgun in 2019.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl does the best job of depicting something close to the proper reload and cocking procedure with a ye olde "rabbit-ear" side-by-side. Note: A triple-barrel gun is called a drilling and a quad-barrel is called a vierling. They could have all rifle or all shotgun barrels but were more commonly combination guns. Pistols versions could exist, but I don't know if they had the same names. 6:01 Ackchyually, the Neostead has one barrel and two mag tubes. It's also reverse pump-action. 11:35 Treating Jakobs guns like Tediore. 13:04 The fudd method. Only a fudd would reload a double-barrel "wrong-handed" like that (using the shootin' hand instead of the support hand). Yes, I know Caleb from 'Blood' reloads like that despite his not being a fudd. 16:28 What kind of rookie dingbat would put a shell holder on the forearm?! 🤣

It doesn't matter if it's wrong handed or right handed, it depends on how do you handle it. Literally every rookie does that shell holder thing. Also, some Stalker guns are mirrored which is unrealistic but it catches the vibe.

@@Nsodnoajdjksl In this context, "wrong-handed" reloading means reloading with the shootin' hand instead of the support hand. Don't take my word for it. Paul Harrell, an expert, advises against it. Rookies oughtta learn how to learn their way out of their rookie tendencies, otherwise they'll always be rookies. And shell holders should go on either the side of the receiver or somewhere on the stock that doesn't obstruct a decent cheek weld. I can tolerate mirrored weapon models as long as they're not side-ejecting bullpups. Personally, I'd rather they make the player character left-handed (represent!) if they wanna show off animated weapon parts.

Also, it doesn't matter which hand is correct to reload your gun, what matters is to make sure if your gun is ready to shoot them enemies. Also, rookies are OBVIOUSLY rookies but what they can do while reloading is turning the safety on before reloading (if they don't have trigger discipline like those from Left 4 Dead).

The SSG wasn't int the original Doom from 1993, it was introduced in Doom 2 (1994).

I only saw 10 seconds and found a problem. 1993's Doom and Super shotgun is two word that together can make a Doom fan cry. Some history for ya: 1993's Doom had 3 episodes and has only a pump action shotgun in it. In 1994 Id released Doom II: Hell on Earth which we see on the first clip because it is the first map of Doom II, even the second clip is on the same map, and there is the Super shotgun. In 1995 Id made another episode to the original Doom and named it The Ultimate Doom, and it still dosen't have the SSG (Super shotgun) in it. For people who say "but you can cheat and get it"; well you can't. Why? Because if you open Slade (Doom editing program) you can notice that the SSG sprites are not in there.

TWD Saints and Sinners (at least the Oculus Quest version) has this really weird animation, where it only has the shells pop out of the shotgun if you shot it one-handed (shells just disappear if you shoot using both hands). Hey, you could remove Far Cry 4's 700 Nitro and Elephant Gun next time around. Those are both express rifles. The D2 is a shotgun though. I suggest adding Escape From Tarkov, theHunter COTW, and Hunt: Showdown.

At about 9:10, the 700 Nitro and Elephant gun aren't shotguns. However they ended up on HOG's list, thay just aren't the right type of gun for this list.

I was surprised by how many of them got the scale right on 12 gauge shells. It still bugs me whenever I play Metro and they have shells more akin to a flair launcher than a double barrel.

9:06 Those arn't shotguns, those are .700 nitro round rifles. They were used by big game hunters in the late 1800s early 1900s. They were double barreled since it would often take more than one shot to take down Hippos, Rhinos, and Elephants. Hence why the unique .700 in Far Cry 4 is called the Elephant Gun.

Hey in 2008 a game known as fallout 3 had double barrel shotguns init

12:07 12:15 What? why is roadhog from OW on this? the only similarities the scrap gun has to a DBS is the fact that it's a shotgun and opens up like a DBS. but otherwise, A there's a giant hole as the barrel andor point where the projectile comes out rather than 2 barrels. B Roadhog places 1 giant chunk of scrap/junk in it instead of 2 bullets to reload his gun. plus C he shoots scrap/junk instead of 2 bullets.

That's not the only non-DBS here. BF1 pistol shoots normal pistol rounds, not mini-shells. There's also a BFV double barrel flare gun. The Apex Legends one is arguably a lever action.
