Today I am trying another possible food trailer menu item. I am making this Double Bacon Jam Smashburger on the Blackstone Griddle. This is my first attempt at making bacon jam, but I think it will turn out pretty good......We'll see.......

Ingredients:
BACON JAM
12oz regular cut bacon (cut up)
1 sweet onion (diced)
1 1/2 - 2 Tbsp. light brown sugar
1 Tbsp. Balsamic Vinegar
1 tsp. Pure maple syrup
Crazy Cajun seasoning or seasoning of your choice
1 Tbsp. butter
Smashburgers
2 - 4oz loosely packed balls of ground chuck
1 hamburger bun
Whiskey Burger Seasoning or seasoning of your choice
4 slices of Pepper Jack Cheese

What a great smash burger recipe! I've been griddling on my Blackstone for 3 years and my family loves my smash burgers. This one will really take it up to a new level. Great Job, Loved the video.

Another good burger from your griddle ideas. The bacon jam will work on fries, ohhh yeh, and on tater tots with a cheese topping. This will be a winner on the food truck for sure and the jam, perfect,

That' looks so delicious I'd love to try it. I have a few ideas for your food truck. 1 I'd put two strips of bacon on the first patty. I would also put a fried egg on it. 2nd I'd offer a breakfast version that would be one beef patty and one sausage patty and a fried egg and the bacon jam on a croissant roll.

Even with the texture of the smash burger, there needs to be a crunch element to the burger. Possibly an onion ring? Crunchy water (lettuce)? Gonna have to make the bacon jam myself now. Great video
