Yeah, each one is different, but somehow related, and hella fun. It's always funny though when i swap games and then the style of the previous moba comes to the next one and i cause the team to lose 😂 Then again i very rarely play ranked.

Picks are very limited and roles are always determined to be 1/1/2 jungle. Game is very statchecky and meta stuff is overwhelmingly strong

At the cost of sanity. Shit takes so long! But, I knew this would be one of the most important videos I'll ever make, so I wanted to put in all the effort :)

The intro is funny, but holy shit is it ever true! I was looking for a game similar to LoL..... Then I remembered.... There's a game I've heard myths about... DOTA 2 *insert epic music here*! Fantastic video as always. The more I learn about DOTA 2 the more I realise that DOTA 2 is actually made to be playable for humans (including bad bronze LoL players, like me). When trying to explain DOTA 2 to LoL players I explain it like this (with my very limited experience) "DOTA 2 is like unhinged LoL with deeper and way more activate items.". I actually like DOTA 2 more than I thought I would. I have not played it a lot, but when I do it's fun. I genuinely think you are a big reason why a lot of LoL players will pick up DOTA 2 in the comming months. You understand the LoL community better than any other DOTA 2 YT channel I've seen to date and you understand where we are coming from!

Yeah Dota 2 really is the perfect moba IMO. It's slow enough that you don't need the 120ms reaction speeds of a 14 year old on adderall. The slower speed also means that it's more important to read and respond to enemy animations. It's not like league where you need to know every champion's kit and then do the moba equivalent of a high-noon quick-draw duel to land your skillshots first. It's also way more teamplay oriented. League is 3 1v1s and 1 2v2. Insane focus on individual skill. In Dota you move all around the map on most roles constantly after the first 10 minutes. League's meta is borderline hardcoded and it can be annoying.

Here is some insight from dota sup main. I only tried lol playing sup for like 40-50 hours before getting bored so CMIIW but sup in lol is so fucking boring to play because there is so little thing to do beside playing the core gameplay of laning and pushing. Meanwhile Playing sup in dota feels like playing strategy game more than traditional MOBA. That is also imo why most captain and shoot caller in dota great team are sup, FY, kuro, puppey, miposhka, notail. We focus less on the mechanic of the game and more analysing the game. You as a good sup need to know timing for not only your team but all your opponent so you can succesfly gank, you know when to start smoke, you know which wave to pull, when to deward, when to farm, when to use your tp and walking back, when to offensivly or defensivly ward and many more

it is criminal how few subscribers you have for how quality your content is

Only got into league recently as most my old Dota buddies have either drifted of or just stopped being interested in Dota outright. The new group is all old ass league players from like S2 or S3 only one from S1. I just wish they were actually willing to commit to learning Dota like they said they wanted to when I started learning league. I did get them to adopt the phrase “Space created” when feeding though 😂 Their main gripes our turn rate being a thing and your own creeps blocking some skill shots. (One guys is a hardcore thresh OTP so pudge makes him both extremely happy and sad.) One of them thought buying an HP pot every 2nd wave instead of needing to go back to fountain was absolutely broken and would make you win lane over your opponent since you never have to leave. (He’s a Garen player…) Couldn’t get across to him how bad that is like buying 2hp pots ever 2nd wave in league. Take forever to finish an item.

as a LoL player since 2009 i have to say dota 2 has a much more fun gameplay i am glad that i started playing dota 2 i love the turbo mode

Speaking of capability to play any hero on any lane. I am initially dota player, who did try out league on the side, and while it's less of a situation in league, nonetheless interesting off meta was always curious to me, be it jinx top, tahm jungle, orianna support or draven mid. But sometimes it is way too obnoxious that how player base try to hammer characters into their position. How many ff 15 I saw, even while winning the lane. But well, I suppose it only represents riot approach, as soon as character is outside of the box, they will make sure to stuff them in. Not saying league's approach is bad in any way, but it is different from dota. So I'll sing to my heart's content as naga siren on 4 position.

8:32 lasthiting with ult gives you permanent health and mana regen boost. 13:51 you can take this hero as a support, but in current patch abbadon is a higest winrate carry on all ranks, so you can have fun this way. 14:03 quick note, autocast can be disabled by break(effect that turns off your passives), so watch out for viper and hoodwink their ults apply break on target.

Friendly reminders: you can trashtalk in dota and you can pay money for better trashtalking. Don’t worry you are not gonna be banned. It’s the strategic part of the game. You’re welcome.

12:28 - this is EXACTLY what Skywrath is all about. He does damage. A lot of damage. A shit ton of damage. It's actually quite impressive how much damage Skywrath can potentially deal to single enemy with close to none additional impact (except for Atos) just from a one 6th level procast. I mean, 3 out of 4 of his abilities directly deal damage and the fourth one actually amplifies enemies' incoming spell damage, therefore it *also causes more damage* and while silence and slow is good and all, but Chicken McCaster gets picked not for them but for an absolute obliteration of the enemies he can potentially cause. He absolutely devastates enemy flimsy supports and casters, especially people like Necrophos or Pugna who get hard-countered by him. Too bad he himself gets countered by funny ebony stick, lmao

I hope you would have fun in your journey learning DotA. And after you feel that you confident enough to climb mmr, dont grind too much this game encourage you to playless to gain more(or lose more). Learn theory crafting and watch your replays, your 15 minutes in your single match of your game could be analyzed into 60 minutes video. Tzar videos is good maybe tzar could colaborating with grubby. Time? No, time isn't wasted, though effort might be. I fear to approach Dota with a sense of duty and work, and prefer to play it as a game for fun and leisure. Been hovering Legend for a decade, and am happy to be in top 30% @@nonsensicalavocado

I am a new dota player, and when i try and enter the hero section you do at the start it just tells me that the hero grid is only available to dota plus subscribers, am i missing something? Seem too odd that the hero overview is hidden behind a paywall like that?

in short he is a former Warcraft 3 world champ and tried dota 2 out -> became immortal 6k in a short amount of time and now he is trying LOL and is always up for coaches to help him like they did with him in dota but none of the coaches have dota 2 experiences so he cant compare them togheter, because of grubby i found your channel since he made me try LOL out too

@@cloudedreality506 Yes, in some ways but not others: Bloodseeker can see low HP enemies globally and gets crazy movement speed when enemies are missing HP. On kills, he heals a percent of their HP. He also has a delayed AOE CC spell. BUT, he's a squishy skirmishing ADC.

One observation: dota's roster was determined from dota 1 days. Devs simply took every single model in warcraft 3 and make each of them a hero. There were only so many (interesting) human/humanoid models. When we moved to dota 2 the philosophy was embraced and new heroes continues to be unique. Even ringmaster, being a seemingly normal human, is something not in the game yet. Hots same deal. You've got all these characters from different franchises, mash em together. Though blizzard gets to choose from a much wider range of characters. Lol tends to design champions based on a checklist kinda. Which species? Region? Role? Difficulty? Even abstract things like the 'feel' of their gameplay. Oh we haven't make a monster champ in a while, better make one so players stop screaming at us. Then we'll make another badass/cute human/vastaya/yordle because we need sales. Let's just say, it is inorganic. And I don't blame them tbh, you gotta do what works. Especially as riot has to design their characters from scratch

Hello if someone is looking to play Dota 2 for the first time, I could help you out if you play in South East Asia.

u should learn not every hero on dota can survive on early game,mid game and late game. u need learn potition when u play ur hero. like spectre. spectre is shit hero and baby hero on early game but she will strong on mid and late game if she had item. thats why she need stay on pos 2 or safe lane
