Very different but very good video. I really enjoy how you guys use the music in your videos. I find I enjoy and would listen to almost every song I have heard y’all use in videos in the last two years I have watched y’all. Don’t know how y’all find them but keep them coming. Awesome video and like how y’all helped the charters to grow the business while making great content. A little different than the offshore yellowfin tuna trips we have outta Port Fourchon and Venice Louisiana but thanks for bringing a south Louisiana boy into the Pacific Ocean for a fishing trip. Can’t wait till the next video on Monday. As always good luck and god bless guys.

Here on east coast at the Outer Banks NC we have been launching dorys for commercial fishing as a way to set nets off the beach but never knew of or thought about using it for recreational fishing rod and reel but definitely can work as option where no inlet exists for passage out to sea

Gotta try the Choho. Years back paid twice to fish Kings in Tillamook bay, but never hooked one. Guides didn't want to turn on the fish finder as it showed all the whoppers swimming on by. If those Kings won't bite there's not much you can do.

That rock is a designated wildlife refuge which means its illegal to fly any aircraft (drone) within 1000 feet of the rock. Also looked like some of those shots were more than 400 feet above sea level? 😅 I don't actually care though just giving u guys a hard time. Great footage. Drone laws are unjustified anyway.

@@russellwatters5891 also they kayak through the surf to fish out in the open ocean. Takes about 30 seconds maybe a minute to paddle out past the surf so not a big issue although you will get a little wet so if you do it without a wet or dry suit or some other way of staying dry then yeah may not be to much fun but then again you can just take a Dory and not have that to worry about. Point is that there are many ways to enjoy the ocean and one is not better than the other it all depends on personal preference

@@ringotomb that would be a drift boat which is designed that way so you can anchor, or back bounce (row backwards) in a moving current (the river) with little effort and without swamping your boat. But yeah in the early days before motors were the norm those boats were used the same way as modern dory boats are used as they also have a smooth flat (arched) bottom. And since Ocean dorymen originated from river netting that would make total sense
