in most (if not all) American universities they give you the option to room by yourself it just costs more

it's a money making tactic for colleges. colleges in my state require you to stay in the dorms for freshman year and you have to buy their food plan. it cost well over 1000 dollars for a food plan. it's terrible

What a cute room xD I'm going to college next year (as in next school year) and I can't wait to decorate the whole place I have the same printer as you! Have you figured out how to put in the cartridges/ink yet? It's quite easy. Just open that big front piece by pulling it (when it's turned on!) and the ink spaces will slide to your right. It should have a little drawing with instructions right on that spot~

+ZoeMikkinzee In school you would learn layouts, grids, typography, and how to use all the Adobe programs pretty much! After college you can either freelance or join a company or ad agency. Freelancing is cool because you're pretty much you're own boss but it can be hard to find work sometimes. I do in-house freelance at Taco Bell headquarters which has been great! I also know people who work at ad agencies which is basically a place full of designers ready to take on work from various clients the ad agency picks up. So you could be working on a ton of different types of projects for different companies. Hope that helped because I didn't exactly what to expect after college either!

I got to dorm for my freshman year at UCI. In terms of dorms, UCI's freshmen dorms are much spacer and have bigger bathrooms imo. You should definitely sign up to get a tour around both of the schools to see which one is best for you. No hate to Chapman University or anything! I just wanted to give you some helpful advice 😊

No, thank you for your advice! I've visited both schools but didn't look really closely at dorms so that's very helpful. I heard Chapman's dorms are a bit old especially considering how much you have to pay to dorm at their school...It's so hard for me to choose and I have like no time haha

I'm moving to Holand next course and it'll be my first time in a dorm so this gives me a lot of inspo!

Hey, so I just got accepted to Chapman a few days ago and I've been binge-watching dorm tours :) Not sure if you'll see this, but if you do, I have a few freshman-ey questions. 1) Is it practical and/or socially acceptable to bring a scooter? I'm going to be taking most of my classes at Dodge and I'm worried about scurrying back and forth between there and the main campus. 2) Where is the best food place on/near campus (priorities, haha) 3) What is your fav part about the school? 4) Who's your fav teacher? NICE CAGE IS LIFE. Sorry, it's a thing I have with my best friends from home and my sorority sisters, haha (I cut out photos of Nic Cage's face and hid them around my apartment this year, I'm still wondering how many are just hidden there for the next occupants xD). This brings back so many dorm memories. Just this year, I finally got out of the dorms and into an apartment and I don't think I can ever go back. You just kinda do it as an underclassman because you don't have anywhere else but then you get out and look back with wonder at how you survived with such small space and no easily accessible kitchen (we had a shared one in both dorms I lived in but they were on the bottom floor on the opposite side and I was on the second and third floor so it just wasn't worth the effort usually). I could never sleep on a lofted bed either, I just mentally couldn't, so I usually just made do with misc closet and desk storage. I still don't need that much storage, actually, I've really learned how to pare down having to move in and out of new places literally every year. I'm a minimalist by both choice and necessity, haha.

I'm from England and here we have halls instead of dorms which is basically a flat with your own bedroom, ensuite bathroom and shared living room and kitchen area. Most people here find that living situation too stressful and share private houses or flats or get there own. I was wondering how you concentrate on studying sharing a bedroom with three other people? and also do you miss home comforts for example having a kitchen/non shared bathroom ect? I'd never seen a dorm room until I watched this video and its the complete opposite to studying in England! this was really interesting, love your channel
