Dorking Uncovered S3:E23 | The World Is Notts Enough
Спорт
The win over Barnet has given Dorking a little breathing space, which means they can head up to Nottingham to face title contenders Notts County with a bit less pressure.
And that's just as well - for County play some of the best football in the division and getting something from the game is going to be incredibly hard. Even though Wanderers are one of the two teams to beat this mob all season.

Good, as always. Would like to see some Dorking training or travel in future episodes, just to see how the team prepares and what else goes into running Dorking
Love these, watch them with my Son. Dorking too far away but it has got me and my son watching our local tier 10 team.

Where abouts are you based. I’m sure they will play away at somewhere near you. Great club. I’m looking to go to some dorking games next season when they play close to me. I’m an oldham fan who are in the same league as them and I have fell in love with the story. Would definitely recommend watching out to see where they are playing and visiting them when they play near you !

I love this documentary series very much. I am not from England. I am from Algeria. But I follow you with passion because I love football. Keep up your work. Thank you. Good luck. ❤😊
I'm from Notts and this video is brilliant from start to finish. The production standards, the narrative... the lot. As to our city, it's had the life beaten out of it over the past few decades. The main industries and companies it was built on have gone and have been replaced by a transient student population that has no emotional investment in the city or a real interest in it. They have borrowed money, though, and that's better than nothing. It feels like a place that has the appearance of somewhere that is normal, but its heart seems to have stopped beating.

It’s the same story up and down country mate, last 15 years have completely destroyed living standards. I remember listening to some British businessman who read complaining that he can’t get live made in this country, he used to get it from Poland but because of brexit it’s too expensive and he was moaning that’s there’s not any lace makers in this country. Yeah because people like you put them out of business by buying cheap polish imports you dozy tart. People buying stuff on Amazon is doing the same to the high street, in ten years it will be the only place to get 80% off anything you want and then the prices will start going to and you won’t be ache to go anywhere else. This country is being destroyed from the inside and the Government are presiding over it making a fast Buck from it for them and their mates.

@@Martin.Lewis..devolving would be more accurate. It might have escaped your notice because maybe you live in a bubble, but living standards up and down the country have dropped to 70s or even 50s levels
Best thing about a Sunday this show 💯
We love you Phip and Marc of course.
Whenever I watch or play football these days I’m thinking about where the overloads are, so you could say this show has changed how I think about the game!
Absolutely loved this episode another triumph don’t worry Rich we all like you too 👍👍
Mitch was the star of this episode 🤣 Good kid, laughs at his own clumsiness and jokes about it with the team🤣
even though we didnt have marcs mic working it was really intressting seeing the game fron the assistans manager and coaches perspective
Look forward to this every week.
Bobby looked livid, with himself. Say this every week, but another great episode.
Binging this from Canada. Such a great series. Now i'm a Wanderers supporter! Hope to make it to a Dorking game in the new year.
Can’t wait for this !!
Loving the half time and full time journey round the stadium. Sounds like you need to do more cardio Rich 😂
Best voiceover/commentary yet - and that’s saying something cos you’re routinely excellent. The constant digs at Josh Taylor’s annoying good looks has me literally laughing out loud.
Fucking love Marc's attitude! What a fella!
Had a lovely day out at sincil bank for the last game of Lincoln's season. After one too many bevvies this is the best way to unwind on a sunny Sunday evening!
great ep as always!
It would be great if you add clips of training, travel, eating, etc., so that we know more details about the team and their way of life. Thank you. Regards.😅
Just finished watching the Manchester City thing on Netflix. Sorely missed your commentary and game analysis. Glad to be back. Happy for those lads though.
8:51 First time I saw Bradford City win a play-off final was against Notts County. Our first visit to Wembley. I bet he was there. 9:40 And this reminds me of the time Dean Windass told me to ring my dad and give him the phone because I told him he was a Hull City fan. 10:40 I bet this sort of thing happens all the time on football documentaries. They get home and think “oh fuck” but for them at least they can just not bother using it because they aren’t running a weekly KZread documentary and you don’t have the luxury of being able to say “fuck it, I’ll just use the match footage and do a different match”. Notts County is kind of important. Can’t believe I forgot Matty Palmer used to play for us. Good to see Adam Chicksen doing well at Notts Co. 32:20 Marc bang right about individual performances. A match like this essentially should be a reality check on where each player is in terms of levels. Perform really well and you’ve caught the attention of what essentially will be an EFL team again soon (and others). If you’re hiding and/or struggling maybe you’re a National League player and that’s your level. The score line wasn’t all that bad, but these games will show up limits to individual players. So if there are any players in that team who didn’t play well that think they’re better than the National League, this is a really good match to reflect on and work out why your not. Then put that part of their game right and that could still change. 33:00 hindsight is a wonderful thing and it’s easy for me to say, but I also think Marc lost his self-confidence and was over thinking the game and too worried about what Notts were doing. Changed to go direct before kick off, then changed back to business as usual and Dorking scored. It was 1-1 at half time, if the second half plays out the same it’s happy days. But Marc changed things again at half time. But it’s not a dig because you’ve got to make these calls and it’s not easy, and if it had worked it wouldn’t get mentioned. And they might have lost 5-1 sticking to what they know. But just looked like that classic thing of giving Notts too much respect rather than trusting his own system. It’s always going to feel like you are about to get murdered in the second half in games like this but that’s when it’s most important to stick to what you do best. I can bet a lot of lessons were learned from this match. After all, they stayed up (I’m guessing that’s not a spoiler 😂)

Best episode title ever.
Myself , my wife and my mate started a team over 13 years ago ( Redvelvet fc) we ended up becoming the most successful club in south London / Kent !!! We just ran out of gas , and constant battles with small minded people from the FA , we were laughed at for joining a league with a name like Redvelvet , and was asked if we could change it for the sake of the FA. So when I watch Marc it brings it all back , he’s a top bloke , and now he’s mixing with the big boys ??? Go on my son !!!!!
Yes! Was that the bus driver with the Rangers hat? 💙👍
Rich I agree with you, it’s annoying how handsome Josh Taylor is!! 😆😆
Lovely end to the weekend
Comments to support the BoA and Dorking from Ireland 🇮🇪 Question is though ; with a successful season will they have to turn pro !?
