Doris showed us what it's like to be something that many sports announcers forget to be. . . Human.

It’s also a very negative assumption. Just because of what you see on tv you assume most people aren’t human? What a negative take.

Doris Burke, you’re a legend!
What makes Doris a GOAT for me is not just her attention to detail but how, as a woman, she could make you see these guys as human. No male reporter would admit to wanting to hug Duncan when he saw him a day after the Ray Allen shot or what he could see when he saw LeBron crying after the 3-1 come back. Good stuff
Man do I love Doris. She has so much love for the game and is so intelligent in her reporting. I didn't grow up with basketball and 2016 was the first season I followed. I was bawling up alongside Bron and Doris that night.

I couldn't watch the fourth quarter, I was too stressed. I remember sitting in my bathroom, on the floor, and my son (who was six, at the time) came running in saying "Daddy, we won!! We won!!". Instant tears of joy. And goosebumps right now just typing this memory out.

Big props to Doris Burke. Just having her start that interview off by remembering Todd Harris. That’s a class act move and should teach all of us to honor all of those who play an integral part in our life regardless of how big or small
That 2016 NBA Finals was amazing, one that I will never forget. That chase down block with the score tied and about a minute left in the game fires me up, every time I see it. The sequence of that chase down was so amazing, because it started with a missed layup by Kyrie Irving and then Golden State had a 2 on 1 fastbreak going the other way, but LeBron sprinted down the court and chased Curry and forced him to pass the ball to Andre Iguodala who went up over J.R. Smith for a layup, but LeBron comes out of nowhere and elevates 11.5 feet to meet the shot above the rim. And then Kyrie Irving hit a 3 point shot over Curry to give the Cavs a 3 point lead. The last minute of that series was the greatest thing I have ever seen in NBA history. That is when LeBron passed Jordan in my eyes on the GOAT list, because he led his team back from a 3 games to 1 deficit to win the NBA Finals against the 73 win Golden State Warriors.

@Timothy Webster ; I personally think Jordan is the GOAT, but you're fooling yourself if you think he didn't campaign for fouls. In fact, he'd drive the lane and yell "oohhh!" when any contact came his way. And who picked up that same strategy...Kobe Bryant.

I remember when Rondo hyperextended his elbow when he was with Celtics. When he came back to the sidelines looking dejected the cameras caught Doris giving words of comfort while gently rubbing his back. I was so impressed to see her become a mother in that instance as opposed to treating these guys like circus monkeys
When that Lebron documentary comes out, y’all will hear and see a lot of racists stuff from Cleveland fans that hasn’t been talked about much, and the fact that Lebron went back to win them a chip, undying loyalty right there, I would say even to a fault but I think he needed to do that for himself bc it was something he wanted to do. He’s been much more relaxed since then
Dorri Burke’s postgame interview with lebron after coming back 3-1 is timeless.
