Another great video can't wait for the reveal of area
Muito bom... Obrigado Portugal Aveiro
I applaud your commitment with the 2 hour boil 👌🏼 Looks great! A great springtime beer indeed 🍻

I’m a big fan of the dark lagers! Give it a go for sure!!!
Great video! To me, I’ve always thought that a bock beer was a good winter beer. Or even a beer during the early spring. I may have to try my first attempt at one this coming winter.
Great video as always Brian! Love a good Dopplebock!

Nothing wrong w/ a darker beer for Spring. Im going to hopefully brew a Black IPA tomorrow. Maris Otter base.

I need to brew a beer with all Maris Otter, been a while since I’ve done that!!
Omg I'm always so jealous of your weather and backyard nativity scenes. It's a high of 35F in Chicago today, but warm weather is on the way! The doppel sounds fantastic 🤙

We are pretty lucky with the weather here for sure! Cheers!!
Great videos keep it up. Saw the exchilerator with the thermostat and quick disconnect fittings that's badass, are you running a T with that?
Feeling the same way about all the extra equipment. But im getting to the point where my clean up is taking much longer than I want so it might be time to simplify. But I'll keep playing with new toys to see what works

It’s definitely cool stuff but the more you have the more you clean, right? 🤣
good video! But I suggest go the Kombi-route! I use my immersion chiller to bring the wort down to 24°C and then the counter flow chiller to bring it down to 10-8°C for the yeast.
@ElementaryBrewingCo

Never thought of that! Thanks!!!
Excited to see the new garage setup bud! Personally I use a plate chiller and don't find cleanup much worse than using an immersion chiller. Just pump some cleaning solution through the hoses and you're set. Cheers!

Yeah it’s definitely not that bad and the chill time is pretty sweet!
My last few brews have been cool-in-place. I just drop hot wart into my 5 gallon keg. And the next afternoon check the temp and drop my yeast. This saves me sooooo much time with cleaning. My last brew was finished in 3.5hrs including cleaning. I'll continue the no chill method until I get a hiccup (no pun intended).
Great video and a Beautiful beer?

Interested to hear what you think about the whirlpool. I thought the same thing when I first added my counterflow chiller and whirlpool. At first it seemed like a hassle to clean, but after using it a few times, it got easier than my immersion chiller.

Worked great! The only issue I have is the cleanup seems more involved!
Nice! 👍 I believe nobody watch the video because of the pronunciation, but because of your quality content. The 2nd "Doppelbock" is quite close.

I’ve got a few final touches then it’ll be ready for the reveal, should be a week or so 😁
Im fermenting a brown nut ale currently. Hoping for a interesting flavor profile since Im using the bananza yeast. Shooting for a banana breadish breakfast beer. I over shot my numbers and it will be more like a 6.8% beer instead of 4.7%. First time creating my own recipe and had it set to extract on brewsmith instead of partial mash.. lol rookie mistake fore sure.

@@ElementaryBrewingCo Im sure it will be just fine. Just wont be a beer to through back to many of. This was my 3 brew total so far so Im sure Im bound to keep making mistakes. lol Thats all apart of the brewing process though Im sure.
Hey Brian, what was your volume going into the fermenter if you boiled for two hours
@ElementaryBrewingCo

Ended up with only like 3.5 gallons in my keg so it was around 4, although I didn’t take precise measurements.
What are the odds I have a DoppelBock G2G going live this Saturday as well? =P Tasty

Any ideas on why you missed the gravity?
@ElementaryBrewingCo
Жыл бұрын
My efficiency goes down with higher gravity beers. I just need to adjust efficiency during recipe build process. I thought this one might be okay because of the sparge but it wasn’t.
