Laurence Rickard. Brilliantly creative screen/sketch writer, but also a superb actor. Done lots of comedy of course, but I'd love to see him in more film and TV straight-acting roles too.

It's a shame that her American series The Tracey Ullman Show has yet to be made available on DVD. I am assuming it has to do with the Simpsons shorts. I say cut them out; they were not particularly good. Like any sketch show it was very hit and miss, but more of the former than the latter. Tracey Ullman is one of the few genuinely funny people. Anyone who says that women are not funny just needs to watch her. Her skills at impersonation is mind boggling. This needs to be released.
