Make no mistake, all the demons are pretty much petrified of the Doom Slayer at this point. The Archviles are special as they are higher class demons and are seen basically as generals or royalties. So the game lore implies they are very intelligent and I guess it means they can rationalise better what kind of threat Doomguy is to their existence lol. 🤣

Yeah to keep it really short on Why Hayden betrayed the Slayer for a couple reasons 1. He thought the Slayer would get in the way. (Which was a kinda False reason.) 2. DOOM 2016 onwards, DOOM Guy canonically only uses guns so he can savor his kills. The berserk power ups are him just going “f*ck it”, and using his normal strength. Yes, his natural strength allows him to effortlessly slap a Barron of hell’s torso off.

Another thing, the Slayer’s mark (the sign on his armor and helmet) was literally a warning label that the demon’s slapped onto his sarcophagus that pretty much said “DO NOT FUCKIN OPEN THIS SHIT”

The progression of Doomguy since the originals until the newest games is insane. He broke his own physical limits at first through sheer will power and later on became an actual god, he is practically invincible now and although his anger fuels his raw power, the guy is a cold blooded trained demon killer. I'd dare to say his battle experience is almost unmatched in video game history when it comes to protagonists, because the word eon in terms of time span suggests around 500 million years or more. Doom has developed into a multiversal world-building, so timelines and time spans are a bit hard to follow, as they vary through the different realms and parallel universes.

All Hell breaks loose (get it) after a portal to Hell is accidentally opened and that's when Doom Guy wakes up on Mars and everything goes down. Eventually The Slayer closes the portal to Hell and defeats Olivia Pierce, and after that Dr. Hayden betrays Doom Guy and steals the demonic crucible to continue his research.

I wouldn't say Hayden at that moment betrayed the Doom Slayer just to continue his "research", at that point he knew exactly what the Demonic Crucible is and how to use it. He just wanted to use it's infinite supply of Argent energy to defend Earth from the invasion of Hell and knew the Slayer would not go along with any plans, other than his own. Not saying Hayden was right, but he wanted to use the energy to fuel those big robot mechs and all the modern weaponry his company had developed, which required insane amount of resources. I also don't think Doomguy would have used the Demonic Crucible in any capacity at that point and would try to destroy it or keep it away somehow.

Now that you've covered the Doomslayer you need to make a video on Samus Aran and Master Chief at some point. These 3 basically make up the "Power Armor Legacy Character Trinity." There's a lot of lore on Halo though you'd be here a while if you wanted to cover EVERYTHING about Master Chief. Halo 1-3 might cover it since it's how Chief saved the galaxy and ripped the Covenant in two. For Samus you could probably just cover Metroid Dread and call it a day, maybe show some stuff from the backstory manga and Samus & Joey. Don't let the title of that last one fool you, Samus is a badass in every chapter. The first thing she does in chapter 1 is solve a hostage situation by calmly walking towards the gunman, and after they fire the bullet she causally catches the bullet out of the air. The guy's like "You'd better spare me or I'll shoot this kid!" but Samus is like "Go ahead and shoot, I never intended to spare you." After she saves the day she just turns around all casual like and goes looking for more Space Pirates to jump. She's basically a Menace Hunter and she has the reputation to accept or refuse whatever job she wants.
