I have spent countless hours designing card games and Nathan has proven to be an amazing designer a wonderful source of inspiration! This designers games cross the line from mere entertainment into being true works of art that should be in history books and museums. To use an analogy; they are like the Ramones or the Stooges of board game design. 🤯 🥳

Love games like this, and the fact that it can be played covertly at work (shhh) is even better. I don't remember this hitting KS, but just ordered a copy. I'll have to watch for more of Mr Meunier's projects.

This game seems very tricky but also very compelling... I'm compelled to put it on my wish list 😁 when I look for games, I try to find ones that I'd enjoy but would also hold the interest of my niece and nephew who are 11 and 13. Most of the games in your Solo Board Game Party playlist have fulfilled that criteria so thanks!

Wow! I've finally seen someone beat this game! It can be so brutal, but you still tamed it. I did notice that you rolled far fewer ones than you normally do, which must have helped. 😉

tbh the lack of ones is really only guaranteed helpful in the last stretch with the last boss… but it's nice for shields too 😅

Really love this game so far, and was happy to hear Nathan is working on more sorta sequels to this with similar mechanics. I think you might've goofed with the Hard Cycle Storage at the beginning there, that should only cycle the adjacent parts an extra time not itself as well, so you should've taken a bit less damage that first turn.

Two goofs, actually. According to the reference card, the Hard Cycle Storage card requires TWO dice; one die equaling 3, one die greater than 3.

Great playthrough! Helped me a lot for my first game 🙂 One question regarding the defeat of "HARD CYCLE STORAGE" (6:20) - as far as I understand the rules you have to use 2 dice (a three and a higher one), so a solo six is not enough - is that correct? Sunny greetings, Alex

@@tabletoptokki ive bought Under falling skies and thats awesome, that is a good starting point as a solo only game experience imho. I have an issue with most reviews about solo games: Most of the reviewers are including Solo games that are not solo, but its available to be to played as solo. Based on my boardgaming experience (mostly reaaaaly have euros and ameri games, Lacerda games and Mage Knight for example) im hunting the same heavy experience in solos. Do you have any advice? :)

@@TheMelon9106 I think a lot of "chunkier" solo games fall into the category of "multiplayer with solo play" unfortunately. For me, solo time is pretty limited, so the quicker the better so my experience with solo games definitely skews to the light/ mid-weight side of things. 😬 I'd say Set A Watch, for me, definitely gives an in-depth "big game" feel and instead of being a multiplayer game with solo play-ability, feels more like a solo game that you /could/ play with others without overstaying its welcome. There are probably people more well-versed in chunkier solo games than myself though, for sure! ^^
