Universal theme of: "why doesn't my mod work?"

something I feel is lost in remixes of this song is that people always use an electric guitar for what is pretty clearly meant to be a rock organ.

Probably because most people who do the covers don't have rock organs? And to be fair, midi beeps and boops are hardly clear-cut as to what the real instrument would be. Those notes do sound guitar-ish and they do sound awesome as a long-ass electric guitar solo.

@@MBOmnis You can literally see what each instrument is meant to be from the MIDI files, and you can also examine and play the instrument tracks individually. And the original MIDI files are not that hard to find. So most of the stuff said here except the initial comment are kind of invalid.

Yes yes we get it, the doomslaya is le cool invincible antihero. But guess what? This is not nu-doom the OG doomguy was a normal soldier giving his best to survive.

Doom is the only game that has ever made me wait by the end of the level until the music finished.

Remixes just can't top the original. I didn't want to leave this level the first time I played doom 2.

Great tune to start off the game DOOM II also used on map 15 Industrial Zone which takes a little more time beat in my view. :)

For me I'm bias to the ps1 atmospheric lost world sound track that was similar to doom 64. Than the perky original ost.

playing Industrial Zone with this music was the best

I find it weird how a lot of the KZread uploads of this track have cut off hi hats, especialy the SC55 versions. Probably a pet peeve of mine, but it is so satisfying to hear them in full as opposed to those short blips. Is the innacuracy caused by emulation? Or does it occur on real hardware?

Since Doom 4 is taking place on earth like doom 2 did than the first level of Doom 4 should have a remastered version of this theme not a remix more like a clearer and addtional UMMPF to the bass
