Once you beat the big badasses and clear out the moon base you're supposed to win, aren't you? Aren't you? Where's your fat reward and ticket home? What the hell is this? Aside from that, great work. In my opinion it keeps the same feeling as the original while sounding different enough to matter.

Definitely one of the most stellar covers of the original Doom soundtrack - and with twists here and there :) The soundtrack of PSX Doom ports are worth listening, too, they're dark ambient with eerie soundscapes that truly contribute to the primal atmospheric fear that the Doom game series compels, especially the hellish levels.

  • @Legally_John

@@pistool1 The PSX and N64 soundtracks are great too. I've heard people say they don't fit Doom, but even the original soundtrack wasn't all metal, with tracks like Demons on the Prey, Opening to Hell, and of course Sign of Evil paving the way for that take on Doom.

Many covers can capture the emotion that Sign of Evil packs. Others can turn it into something more upbeat. What you have done is something else. That E1M8 feeling is amplified tenfold, and turned into something completely beyond anything I've ever heard. This is easily the best remake of Sign of Evil that I've ever heard, and I don't think it will ever be topped. It doesn't matter how many people are in the room with me, this song makes me feel alone.

Use middle finger. 3(first fret, still high string, use your first finger. 4(go to the second highest string, and use your third finger on the fourth fret there 5(directly after doing step 4, immediately go to the third fret on the high string using your middle finger I myself am still learning the rest. Just so you know, I’m talking about the part at 1:05. The part at 0:00 is a bar cord, which is VERY HARD for a beginner, but considering it’s been 9 months, you probably should have done something with your guitar by now.

This is just spectacular. You did what i couldn't do years ago and make a worthy tribute. And the images.. man it feels like pictures from a childhood home full of memories and familiar locations. Thank you.

This is an absolutely amazing cover, from the first second all the way to the last, and showcases such a passion for the original track and the game itself. I absolutely love it, and wish there were more covers of this caliber on youtube for classic Doom songs. Keep up the amazing work, because you've got some serious talent!

Thank you so very much for that. I will. It's been a while now, but once life calms down a bit, more will be on the way. I love Doom and its music, and I have plans for many covers.

Thankyou! The bass tone (and playing) was by HorttanaMusix, via his own pedalboard and settings. I did very minimal EQing afterwards. He should have videos on his bass setups on his channel, check the video description if you're interested.

You put them through the same pain they inflict on others for taking what you held so near and dear to your heart. But Their screams can never be silenced. Their mistry never ending. You think you can just put them down like a suffering dog but, this *is* suffering, no where else to go. They're doomed to eternal death, their pain can never end, their wounds can never heal. Even if you could save them how would they escape, how would they fight. Efforts in vein. Vengeance for the eternal damnation. e3m4 House of Pain EDAY30 Sacrifical Grounds The Flesh Pits

Love this it’s really beautiful. The choir especially at the end gives me the vibes of the victims of hell crying out in pain and sorrow. Also dig the inclusion of suspense at the end that was really subtle but those two songs really work well together.
