i respectfully disagree, Heretic was the better game in every aspect than Doom.

Cyberdemon is lucky that he is immune to splash damage and the fire snake attack was disabled by OP. That attack is absolutely OP

@@hidof9598 Im not talking about how they look, (is at to you which one you prefer). Is more about what they do. Heretic Bosses are more dinamic and do more things. For example Maulotaur have two diferent distance attack, hit you with the hammer if you are close and sometimes he runs tou you trying to hit you with the horns, while the Cyberdemon just walk and shoot and if you know some tricks you can block him. And D'Sparil have two forms, shoot you and summons his diciples, while the Spidermastermind at the same as the Cyberdemon just walk and shoot.

@@rileyreyes3596 No, see my answer to Hido. is not about how they look or how much damage or dificulty. Is more about they are more interesting and complex. while Cyberdemon and Spidermastermind just walk and shoot. Hereitc bosses do more things and seem they are more inteligent.

Whichever game you played second you instantly thought of this along side all other monsters that are equal to each other.

I downloaded this mod last night and I'm having lots of fun with it. Now for dinner I'm gonna make these folks battle themselves for my joy ;)

Ambos muy igualados, pero me parece que el Maulotaur dió menos golpes y bajó mucho más, también hacer la observación de que el ataque que más HP drenaba era la cornada del Maulotaur que fue capaz de poner en rojo rápidamente la barra de HP del Cyberdemon y en ocasiones dicho ataque parecía hacer el efecto "stack" ya que parecía que en una cornada a veces daba más de un golpe... A pesar de esto gracias a los ataques continuos de tres rockets del Cyberdemon, éste pudo mantener la batalla y poner en aprietos al Maulotaur también, pero no le alcanzó, la infame cornada antes del último ataque del Maulotaur lo dejó poco de morir al Cyberdemon y con proyectiles de fuego del Maulotaur y unos cuantos golpes con el maul... bastó como ultimo ataque para definir la batalla... Muchas gracias desde hace tiempo quería ver esta batalla con lujo de detalle... dejo like...!

Also, in this mod, the damage of the attacks is altered, and the damage per rocket is significantly reduced. In the vanilla games, the maulotaur would die after about 34 rockets (+/- a few depending on rng), and, based on what I've seen by modding cyberdemons into heretic, a cyberdemon will waste a maulotaur fairly easily and have between half and 3/4 health remaining.

I turned it off cos it dealt splash damage, and Cyberdemon is immune to that. He only uses it when his enemies are not immune.BTW, Maulotaur is immune to splash too, but Cyberdemon has only one type of attack so he don't have a choice. If Maulotaur would not be immune, he would kill him probably at 50% health.

Все это по-своему интересно, однако надо признать, что в игре Doom кибердемон более опасный противник для героя, чем молотавр в Heretic. От ракет кибердемона довольно трудно уворачиваться и лучше вовсе избегать сражения с ним на открытом пространстве. Молотавр по сравнению с ним гораздо менее опасен: надо только находиться от него подальше и уворачиваться от огненных шаров. В большом пространстве вполне можно вести бой сразу с несколькими молотаврами.

If it would not run, this means gzdoom devs changed something that is crashing this mod and I need to (probably) someday fix it, though this is very low in my priority list.

actually it's not real cyberdemon\doom damage (0:00) 20-40dmg by rocket? srly?, it can kill doomguy with 1shot without armor, must be over 100dmg by rocket, i think it also not real maulotaur\heretic damage, you must compare real dmg\hp\armor in doom\heretic, both of them has 100hp\armor, 100hp its 1st rule.

That is actually true, it's the mod's Cyberdemon & Maulotaur which have some values modified so the mod is more balanced. Normally direct rockets cause 20-160 damage, no counting splash damage. I completely forgot that was changed, after years after I created this mod, I thought that those values were original.

@@Supcharged I'd rather not mess with the mod, but you can edit it easily - it's just a zip file. Find scripts for Cyberdemon (monster named Cyberdemon_E) and Maulotaur (Maulotaur_E) and you can change damage values, etc, for anything you want.

Where is maulotaurs fire river attack type? And I can't imagine Heretic game with a proper mighty maulotaur cause all Heretic weapon is simply weak comparing with Doom weapon. No bfg, no proper rocker launcher (phoenix is a trash), no super shotgun (crossbow is also crap).

why is the rockets deal so less damage? they suppose to deal 20-117, not 20-40

its not a fair fight... the minotaur have a variety of attacks, and... he is immune to splash damage, while the cyberdemon have only one attack, which is... splash damage...not very fair as i said.

Cyberdemon Demon is also immune to splash damage so it's a fair fight, if anything it's impressive that the Cyberdemon got so close to winning a fight he had the disadvantage on
