I installed Absolute HD and almost puke with overwhelming use of effects... everything is so shiny and colorful bleh. Then I installed Redux and that's exactly what Doom 3 should be, no tricks just better resolution on textures.

Today I was like: "It would be so awesome if someone would uprate Doom's textures and effects without changing gameplay." And here it is. Perfect mod, I love it!

Very good work on the texture overhaul, they still hold up today.

Does this incorporate some of the advanced texture mods that have come out for Doom 3 over the years? In particular the parallax occlusion textures that make rocks and bricks stick out almost like a displacement map? THose were some of the best textures I have ever seen.

+Xyos212 hopefully. it turns me off majorly when i have to install so many mods,. im not good with instructions and especially when i have to mess around with config files and so forth. im not good with that stuff. so if all those mods are included in this, im sold.

Will this mod work with virtual surround software like Spatial Sound Card and Razer Surround?

Does this work with other mods like perfected doom 3?

When will this come out? Also any other HD mods that are out? Edit: Will this Work with Open Coop mod? or LMS

This mod hasn't been updated in two years. Are there any more updates planned or are you just done with it for now?

Salut. Suite a l'installation de ton mod je m'aperçois que j'ai de la latence pas grand chose mais sur un FPS c'est chiant, en plus j'ai l'impression que ça saccade un peu, et ce alors que je viens tout juste d'acheter un écran 144 Hz dalle TN, penses tu que le problème vienne de là, vu que le jeu bloque a 60 fps (que j'atteints sans problème), et sais tu si on peut le passer en 144 fps ? (j'ai cherché mais pas trouvé). Je précise que tout est à jour sur le pc, driver souris compris, et que j'ai bien décocher "vsync" sur le jeu pour le forcer a partir d'Nvidia.

Will we ever see an update for RoE also ?

Is this compatible with the opencoop mod?

+LazorHD The BFG edition is optimized for modern operating systems and it features slightly updated textures. They also made a number of minor changes to the gameplay that are considered unnecessary and make the game less scary. I personally prefer the original version. It has a wide array of mods, whereas the BFG edition has no official support for mods. Also, you can actually make the original look better than the BFG edition using HD texture mods like the one in this video. However in the BFG edition you get a few previously unreleased levels called "The Lost Mission", so you might want to get both.

I see, but I think they only work with the 2004 version, and not the BFG.
