He was being the bigger person by showing kindness in the midst of their bullying. Most bullies have been bullied. He was the bigger person. I thought it was a great message. Hey Michael! I’m glad you like this video. The point of the video was that it was made in October for anti-bullying month. There was a little blurb at the end of the video where they discussed that for a minute. They do great collaborations with other artists and redo their songs. Mark wills is a fantastic country singer who had this hit many years back and it’s just as relevant today. If you want to hear awesome collaboration so you did, home free also Did American pie with Don McLean, the original artist… God bless the USA with original artist Lee Greenwood, and also a fantastic song for suicide prevention month with Billy Gilman.. I hope you get to listen to those as well. They were outstanding.

The 2 good kids made the sandwiches for the bullies. . It wasn’t the lunch like they had taken from him. Giving good for evil.

The two kids made lunches for the boys because they looked past the bullying and saw people in need, but realizing the 2 boys didn't know how to express that need. It fits with what Jesus tells us, "to love our enemies, so good to those who hate us and pray for those who spitefully use us. You can't overcome evil with evil. It takes the Light of love to reach into the darkness and awaken a heart lost in this big world. These kids are treating others how they want to be treated. ❤️

Mark Wills, not Willis and he was the original artist for this song, back in the late 90's. That's his daughter that comes out and sings with them at the end. He didn't give up his lunch, he showed them kindness by making them lunches too and it was a win for them all. You should have watched the outro.

It's important for us to remember that we do not know what others are going through. My daughter was bullied in middle school, We supported her by talking with her, her friends and school counselor so she had someone she could count on around her while at school. His parents did nothing when we went to them. About a year later CPS took him from his parents due to abuse. Does that excuse his behavior, not at all, but it's a reminder that we do not know what's going on in other people's lives that makes them act out.

In Down syndrome, there is an additional copy of chromosome 21, resulting in three copies instead of the normal two copies. Down syndrome is a genetic disorder caused when abnormal cell division results in an extra full or partial copy of chromosome 21. The message selling shirts to help the cause is at the end of the video. Need to make sure you watch all to rhe end, especially with Home Free. The girl in blue that joined in is Mark's daughter. Home Free often has guest stars joined them. Kenny Rogers, Billy Gilman, Lee Greenwood, Oakridge Boys, etc.

Mark Wills is amazing. I have been following his career since pretty much the beginning. I took the bus from Montreal to Vermont, 5 hours to and from, just to see his concert. Mark Wills is a well known country artist. I met Mark when this song came out in 1998. He's from my area. It was a #2 hit on the Billboard charts. That's his beautiful tall daughter in the blue dress singing beside him. Home Free & Mark teamed up for Anti-Bully month in October & the "outro" is adorable with Nick, the young man in the video, who "ki!!ed the bullies with kindness" & you're right! I'm now 60 & I still remember my bullies.

The truth is that he turned the tables on them. He made 3 lunches and shared them with the bullies. The truth of the video is to not repay evil with evil but to overcome evil with good. You know the saying "Kill them with kindness"? This is what the message of the video is. Overcome evil by doing good.

He made three lunches. One for him and two for the bullies.

He made extra lunches for the bullies because he understood that they had problems that led to them feeling they needed to bully others to feel important. If you go back to the scene with the two young actors, you'll see that they made three lunches. That endless cycle you mentioned is only stopped if people are kind instead of bullying others because they have been bullied themselves.

You missed "spreading love one funky shirt at a time"! He was standing up for himself, kill em with kindness.

You are quickly becoming one of my favorite reactors.....you have a great attitude and outlook and life and are wise beyond your years. The message of this is exactly what you said. It's not what happens to you that matters, it's how you deal with it. Making them sandwiches is how he dealt with it. My daughter had lost her hearing at 3 from a car accident then later was diagnosed with crohns. Some of the meds she had to take made her gain weight so of course the bullies moved in and would throw things at her and call her fat ass. She would come home bawling and stressed. So iI told her to try just laughing at them or with them, she did and the bullying stopped immediately and they moved on because she showed them that they couldn't get to her.

Mark Wills sang that song originally and Home free did a retake of the song for antil bullying month. Should have watched until the end.

I’ve seen reactors miss so much of what’s explained at the last portion where the special needs boy is bullied once again because most people are so upset at that point to hear the words. It's so easy to judge these and all bullies. Gosh knows I did. These two kids packed three lunches. In their thoughts they didn't see irredeemably bullies but kids who were hungry.

I get why the ending had that ending but I do agree that you have to stand your ground as well. I actually have this song as a book. It was released in the early 2000s and I was a substitute teacher at that time and I would play this song and turn the pages of the book. There was one verse I did not recognize in the middle.

The bully’s were taking his lunch regularly. Because this boys heart was much purer, he and his friend made three lunches. When he meets them, he gives them each a lunch out of the goodness of his heart. Doing this actually robbed them of the power they had. Sweet story.

Personally they would have been wearing those skateboards around their necks if it had been me. That's how I dealt with bullies in my day you take one of them on .This was a long time ago of course .

You missed that three lunches were made as a gesture of love. And he gave away two for the bullies.

He returned kindness for cruelty. Turning the cheek and not letting them make you sink to their level, it is kind of like God not giving up on us and continue to bless us even when we fall short? I have a temper, have always been a scrapper and was blessed/cursed with a personality that matched my red hair, so I don't think kindness would be my response. But with age, I have learned to stop and pray about how Jesus would react and I have mellowed over the decades. I will admit, however, it is not my first impulse.

Sorry to be that bloke, but it is Mark Wills (thymes with bills) rather than Willis as in Bruce Willis. Mark is a country singer and recorded the original version in 1998.

Michael you totally missed the message in this video. First he brought them a lunch of their own. Second, you needed to go to the end of their video to realize that this was for anti-bullying month and there was so much more to see.
