Donna Summer "Love's Unkind" Extended Edit
Музыка
I revised my earlier upload of this song. Only subtle changes, main change is that I added castanets to the start as they did in the 1991 cover version of this song by Sophie Lawrence.

!SHE IS THE BEST QUEEN DISCO ! ALIVE NOW AND FOR EVER !
I miss disco good old days Donna a great lady beautiful music
One of the best voices ever in history.
RIP DONNA SUMMER!!! YOU ARE STILL THE ORIGINAL DISCO QUEEN!!!!👸👸👸👸👸👸👸👸
I was so fortunate ( timing and being in the right place @ the right time ) I got to see Miss Donna Summer LIVE in concert in Houston, TX in the spring of 1978 or 1979 ( if recollect correctly). Oh My Fricking Gawd: The venue held at most 1,000 VERY raucous / very lively / very appreciative fans..We blew the roof of that venue. The acoustics coupled with the McIntosh speakers and Klipsch drivers was like being in the recording studio. She sounded that clean ,clear & so in command of her superlative voice ,Donna sang her heart out..May she RIP.. Another great talent gone. Enjoy while we can ,people...

Excuse me for correcting you, but I was at that concert and the place was packed. The summit held 37,000 people, perhaps not counting the floor seats. That was a huge concert, and I agree that she was unbelievable.
This is one of my favourite Donna Summer records
Brings back so many memories of a great era of music .. powerful back then and still powerful now 💪🫶
AMAZING Talent, I was blessed to have met her many many times....her music was colorless in the sense that she could do anything vocally but was an admitted POP vocalist who many times changed her voice and style to enhance character(s) of the song. Most singers do not/have not done this, even today. Her Love To Love You Baby vs. The Wanderer vs Once Upon A Time vs I Feel Love vs Take Me vs MacArthur Park, all completely different voices always separates her from the pack, black or white.
Donna Summer never died. One giant landmark in the history of the planet earth.
It’s 2019! Disco needs to make a comeback. I miss disco diva Donna Summer.

It's good, I'll give you that but "I feel love" was and still is groundbreaking IMO. Still blows my mind that that track was released in 1977.

This record was a top 3 hit in the UK in 1977. Winter Melody, I Feel Love, Theme from The Deep, I Love You, I Remember Yesterday and Loves Unkind all charted in 77. Donna's most successful year in the UK
Donna, you made some great tracks. Made the world a better place RIP. At least i can say i brought your music back then.
I completely agree with you about current dance music. The70's and 80's were fantastic! Yes this is my own work, I only did a little editing to make this great song longer. Thanks from an old man in USA.
My favorite donna summer track, happy happy days in 77, the happiest of my life, thank you donna RIP, just know you gave joy in all the songs you did xxxx
I have this on vinyl 45 it's awsome when you crank up the volume one of the best.

I do listen to it over and over again. I do the washing up and dance around the kitchen. I also think about all the people who love this song and send them love and think how lucky we all are. To be alive in this wonderful miracle. Then I get on my Vespa ride through the beautiful countryside of southern England and think wow this won't last forever.😉
Timeless perfection from a true princess of retro pop.
#3 hit in the UK, never released as a single in America. CRAZY, huh, such a great song. And Donna Summer killzit.

lots of disco songs should have been made as singles would have blow up the earth back in 1977-1980
So good to hear this song again after all these years. You just cannot beat the sound of Donna Summer in the 70's. Absolutely the best times, and music of my life.
LaDonna Adrian Gaines aka Donna Summer, what a precious talent you were. Your breathtaking voice is still capable of sending shivers down my spine. Rest easy sweet lady.
R.I.P. Donna! You were one in a million; iconic and a true Diva! You will be sadly missed but your superb records and career will live forever in the memory of us all. God Bless you. Bierney45 X
Donna sadly missed x
I remember this from the 1970's (I was at school), it was the first record I ever bought.

Reminds me of my teenage years way back in the 70s
One of my favorite songs by one of my favorite artists. Donna, you helped me get through my rough high school years. I'm so grateful for your music. Thank you.
Donna was one of my late fav singers ... she was truly blessed with her voice. I gotta admit, I heard her voice in the 70's .. but only up to now have I really opened up to it. crackin vocalist
An enduring American Classic which is truly timeless and echoes the spirit of the Archies comic strip. When the song was produced in 1977, it was supposed to evoke the sprit of the 1950s where Donna pays tribute through High School references and also the back up castanets which are borrowed from the great musicals of the era. 'Love's Unkind' became a huge hit in the UK and is timeless in its appeal.
I love this song so much! "Standing on the outside of the inside where I wanna be". Ain't that life and love to a T? 😢
Fell in love with Donna Summer hearing Try Me I Know We Can Make It.in the summer of 1976.. ran out the next day and bought at a record exchange ($2) at the time I was going to school in another city... came home in the fall and saw a copy of 4 Seasons of Love which was just released ..... then I pick up a copy of Love to Love you... next I Remember Yesterday and etc. etc. etc......latest is the Paris tracks..
Very good songs that I've heard over and over again that I don't get enough of this classic artist
one of my favorite disco songs from the 70's! RIP DONNA SUMMER

I love this remix, it's awesome. Donna pays homage to Phil Spector's "Wall Of Sound".
I still listen to this quite a bit. Donna Summer may have passed on, but her music and soul keeps Donna alive in my heart and soul. Too many great memories & I have a plethora of pictures of her :-) ♥♪☮

I love this song I think Donna Summer was my first crush and you never get over that. well I never have
She was no doubt queen of disco 🕺
Tremendous.
The great thing about Donna Summer is that, by 1977, she had branched out. She did this album, which was a tribute to Big Band/50s girl groups sound. 'I Remember Yesterday' was a great album. She refused to just be a 'disco' artist and she could pull it off. This whole album is great: I can listen to it still (glad to be old enough to have kept all my vinyl. CDs don't do music justice like vinyl does). Ironically, the cut that was most famous was 'I Feel Love,' the first really 'electronic'-sounding song of the disco era.

The album, to quote Giorgio Moroder was a tribute to the past, the songs of the 40s, 50s, 60s and 70s and also showed the way to the future of the possibilities of electronic sound. I would rate it as amongst the best of Donna Summer under the Casablanca label. Which means a tribute to Neil Bogart too.
Love this song 😍
fab song, brilliant diva, xxx

Lots of Donna's stuff wasn't too mainstream. but dig a little. You'll find she was frikin amazing. You ever seen the film "Thank God It's Friday" ? Check it out. Casablanca Records. Its a little bit Motown really...
I have many fab memories of this very talented artist and her 70's music, yet another diva we have lost. r.i.p Donna.
one of a kind god bless her contribution to music RIP timeless masterpiece
The best. My Queen
I was 12-13 when this came out & remember dancing to this and buying the album :-) ♥☮
I don't know why they didn't release this track in the US. It would have been a number one for her. Then we would a fantastic long version of this song.
queen of disco in the 70 th's first con, tact with disco
Life is defintely UNKIND!!!! rR.I.P. QUEEN OF DISCO, GONE BUT NEVER FORGOTTEN...
Excellent record, great beat, which makes you forget the sad message that love is indeed unkind! Lovely rhythm for practising (alone!) modern jive/ceroc and salsa to. PS another excellent product of the super sexy seventies!
R.I.P Donna Summer. This is my fave song
Nice to hear an extended mix of this great song. one of the greatest singers of all time. Her seminal work with Giorgio Moroder was light years ahead of all other dance music...still relevant.

Thank you Donna for sharing your great voice to all us around the world ! R.I.P.
absolutely love this song. first time I heard it was at a wedding reception and I was a kid and it stuck.........shows how good a song it was I was 8
I found this extended version quite by accident and I haven't stopped twirling yet. Indeed, I 'may' have cerebral contusions. WHO CARES???!!!!
Donna meets The Shangri La's! Such a great song. The lyrics are so sweet and sad!
Rip Donna
Great Track. One of Donna's very best! R.I.P. Donna. Always reminds me of something Phil Spector should or could have done with the Crystals or Ronettes in the early 60's. Anyone else think so too? Bierney45 XX
Yes...next in my car stereo.... in a loop!
Real music
Donna Summer has come a long ways she's gone now but her spirit lives on her voice was amazing she shows a lot of class sex appeal she will be missed may she rest in peace
I was watching the NFL Channel, and they use the beginning of this song to introduce the 2011 NFL "Are you ready for some football?"...I had to come to youtube to listen to this awsome song.
Love this version
OH that big 12" GTO records ! Way back in 1978 /9 !!

It was my 29th birthday, fearing for whatever reason, I would not make 30, so I had a huge underwear/pajama birthday party and over 67 people showed....and as I played The Donna Summer Greatest hits/Essential hits in my CD/stereo back then ( 1994) I recall when this song came on, for whatever reasons, the party and spirit just went through the roof and created a lasting memory for me..you will be missed by millions, but always remembered..especially by me..RIP U oh so fine Diva/Disco Queen U...
It's the start of 2014 and me and my Dad are boogeying on down to this in the kitchen. LONG LIVE DONNA!!!
Fantastic song ❤ forever endless

Besides a great beat, orchestration and singing - this song has a story that we all have experienced at least once in our lives (different circumstances, of course.)
