I am watching this after 1.5years later and I must say I love this quilt pattern and of course Donna you are an excellent teacher 🙂
Like your chanel-style jacket! And thank you for all of the free non-copyrighted patterns. They are greatly appreciated by me, and probably many others as well!
The best quilting videos in the world! Thank you.
Donna, I love that you give us free patterns sometimes and the tutorial is always available to review. Such a pretty quilt for this Memorial Day weekend. Thanks so much.
THE best suggestion EVER, for cutting accurately, is using a weight/dumbbell on the cutting ruler. Brilliant!!! Thank you!
It's gorgeous!! Very patriotic and perfect for this Memorial Day wkend!! God Bless America !!!
Love these stars! And the use of the charm squares makes it look so easy!
Hi Donna! You've made my day with a new video. I just love all of them. Thanks for sharing your world with all of us. Fabulous! Love this pattern.
That is beautiful! It would make a great Quilt of Valor, using more standard red/white/blue fabric motifs. Thanks for the tutorial! Hope you and the whole family are having a nice Memorial Day.
Love this free pattern and it looks quite simple for a begginer project. Big thumbs up! Really don't understand why people give a thumbs down to a learning tuturial that is so well done! But ok! Have a great day everyone!
This is a go to pattern for me. I've made table runners, baby, lap, and full size quilts with and without sashing. Love this pattern!
Love red, white and blue quilts.. beautiful.
Thank you again for another great tutorial. Looks easy, and your instructions are very clear. Have been looking for quilt of valor patterns, and this one looks promising. Relatively easy , and I love large blocks. Many of our friends and my husband served in Vietnam, and I would like to acknowledge their service.
Wonderful Star Quilt Ms. DONNA! your tutorials never grow "old" Inspirational!!
My sister made a star quilt years ago that was patchwork stars. she used the same 3 or 4 fabrics in each block but each star was different. It was lovely. I too love stars!
Oh my gosh, I love this video Donna! Ty! You are truly an amazing person.
I love this new pattern of yours! I thought for sure it was a patriotic pattern being released on Memorial Day weekend. I was surprised when you said Christmas!!!!!
I love Jordan Fabrics. My very first quilt was a Donna Jordan pattern. The Ribbons Quilt with Dandie Annie. Ma. What a nice quilt. It looked hardcore difficult to make and it wasn't a hard thing to do! Love these people.
Wonderful!! (Again) I’m imagining this block on a tote bag . . . my aunt taught me to sew, in the 60’s. I’ve wanted to do something special for her. Either a lap size quilt or a tote would make her smile. Thank you for your turorials/classes. I’m smiling at your new ideas. 😉
Some of the best quilting instructions on the Web.
Oh my goodness......I love both of these quilts. So beautiful 😍💗
I absolutely love this quilt. I'm a blue girl so I love that you used red and blue instead of red and green. It is great how you do your stars so that there is extra spacing between he point and the seams. Awesome. I need to hurry up and do up some of my fabrics so I can do one like this!!!
This idea, minus Christmas fabric, but red, white and blue would make a nice quilt of valor. Thanks for another great video.
This quilt would make a great quilt for a military veteran, 4th of July, Memorial Day. Thank you for sharing this pattern.
Beautiful! I love the idea of doing each square/star a different color. The Christmas red, white, and blue is perfect for this weekend!
I’ve got to buy these fabrics and try this one. thank God for your videos, Donna, and the fabric choices you buy and put together with the talent for color and cutting that Matt and you have. Where would I be without you?
Thanks Donna. This looks like a good beginner pattern & I really like the fabrics too - it's another on the ToDo list!
Very pretty and would look great with just about any fabric. Another overtime goal Donna! Yes I live in Canada and our long weekend ( Victoria Day ) was last weekend. I hope my American neighbours are enjoying their long weekend.
Wow! What an easy pattern with a beautiful impact! I love this quilt. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks Donna for another beautiful quilt. Red, white and blue in Christmas fabric is a unique idea. Look forward to your next video!
Really great pattern! I am so glad you explained. You need 3 inch blocks for the star points. So much less stressful. Thank you
I'm actually going to use this pattern to make my red, white and blue quilt for the fourth of July. I watched two other tutorials and this one is the easiest. Great video. Thanks!
Hi Donna! I love all your quilts and work. You are a great teacher! I've learned alot from your techniques. You explain everything so well. Thank you!!
I have learned so much from you, Donna. Your tutorial on binding quilts has changed the way I feel about binding. I used to hate it. Now it’s a piece of cake! And the ombré Bargello was awesome. I bought several ombré fabrics from you and can’t wait to try it. Thank you! MaryAnn W
I love this quilt! Endless color possibilities. Thanks, Donna! You are awesome!
Please please please don’t stop doing your tutorials, it seems that just lately a lot of the other people that do tutorials are mostly talking about their holidays or other things they do and don’t do any teaching. I probably wouldn’t mind if it was you guys that did some of that as well as the quilting tutorials, I really did enjoy watching Matt do some fabric cutting as well as showing us how he picks colors and introducing us to your new store, but please keep showing us your beautiful work. Thanks. Xxxx🥰💐
I love the Star pattern, it’s one of my favorite. I’ll add it to my to do list. Thanks for the pattern!!
Nice project. Would make a great Quilt of Valor in non holiday fabric
That was a great pattern! Your instructions are clear and concise. Thank you for sharing your quilting talent.

Hi Donna, just watched the Shooting Star video and can't wait to make one! Thank you for all your tutorials!!
Donna your channel is addictive. I love it!
I love your fabric selections on this quilt.......... can't go wrong with red, white and blue - even for the holidays. Thanks again for a great pattern.
Really professional tutorial. I like the fabrics you pick. I really like that there are no pinked edges.
Thank you for the new video. I agree this would also make a great table runner. Our church has a “kick off to advent” every December, and I make a quilt for the table we sponsor. This would look great on that table. And it could be made as long as necessary!
Just gorgeous! I know for the time being I will not even consider to start one of those...but I do enjoy watching your videos and seeing you creating those beauties. Thank you!
You got me! I have been collecting favorite patterns from you for some time, but this one is already cut out and the first block sewn. I am excited to see it finished! Thanks for all your tutorials and the time you invest in making the patterns. :)

I have heard of Christmas in July ....but May? -- I guess you know how much of a procrastinator - multitasker - too many projects on a go person I am. Thanks for the inspiration.
Thoroughly enjoy these tutorials thank you.
It is so tempting to me to pack up and move to Oregon to be near your shop! However, being as close as my internet connection works well too. Thanks for all the patterns and your great teaching skills.
Love it. Needed a pattern for my charms of blues.
Very pretty. I really like the one you're giving away.
Love this!
Another awesome pattern! I enjoy all of your tutorials.
Thank you for all the wonderful tutorials. It is just the icing on the cake for your free patterns. This is just beautiful. Happy Quilting from Gadsden, Ala
This quilt is gorgeous!
Just recently "found" your videos and have binge watch most of them! Thanks for taking the time to share with all of us; you are an awesome teacher! Have you ever tried the Folded Corner Clipper now by Creative Grids? Instead of pressing the line you actually cut before you sew. When you fold it back after sewing the corners lay perfectly and you have eliminated a step. The ruler ranges from 1" to 5" squares. I have used it on several projects and the corners lay perfectly. I cut all, stack them up by my machine and chain sew. PS---love your nails!

Really love this pattern. I will definitely be trying this one. Great tutorial as usual!
Very lovely, Donna
Love this quilt. I have to say what a fabulous teacher you are Donna. You make everything seem simple and enjoyable. After watching the tutorial with Matt I handtied a baby quilt. I was so pleased with it. Using the weights for the ruler is a superb idea Matt. It is on my bucket list to come visit your store in the future. I live in Ireland so will have to make do with utube for the minute.🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃
Love it! Thank you for your time!
That is so beautiful, I want it! I love all your videos, thanks for sharing.
Gorgeous quilt!!! Thank you ❤️💙
I tell everybody about you and the way you can break down a pattern and make it easy. I also say I want your life (Own a fabric store and all the fabric to choose from for your quilts. and sew all the time. LOL) Love from Oklahoma, Annette
