I remember watching this when it aired. It was on the same night of my HS prom. I had no desire to go to my prom, So I stayed home and watched this episode 😂😂

Even as teen I never understood why they didn't take Donna to the hotel room to sleep it off. As adult, Mel is hot mess for offering kids alcohol esp since he knew about the rules. Jackie being former alcoholic. Im actually shock Felicie didnt press charges on him.

Back in the early 90’s it wasn’t that big a deal for kids to drink. My seventh grade teacher actually brought a keg to class on the last day of school and that was only elementary school graduation. The whole point of this storyline is that the school board is being unreasonable, not that kids shouldn’t drink. Jackie’s drinking was only an issue because it would lead to coke for her.

The group was so distracted, they didn’t see Mrs. Teasley passing by UNTIL IT WAS TOO LATE

"They're being realistic. " There was no drinking allowed, but they knew some people (like Donna) would still break the rule. It's better get them a cab and deal with it later than to let them drive drunk. Donna ended up getting no consequences. They let her walk at graduation because she said she was sorry.

Brenda looked goooodt okay. For the life in me Dylan left Brenda for Kelly?! In this clip when they first arrived having them stand next to each other Kelly looked so plain.

This storyline was a good example of poor and lazy writing to create drama. There were plenty of easy and logical ways how to cover this up like and they chose the most risky one where 6 people weren't able to hold the thinnest girl of the whole school

Kelly always looks great in white. This is the best color for her.

Dylan and Brenda went together to what supposed to be the real promp of the series at the end of session 2, I think. Brenda lost her virginity that night. However the producers wanted to keep exploiting the success of the series

Donna Martin never enjoyed any party or ball. It was either an uncomfortable dress and the spring dress, or the tight mermaid costume, or she was drunk at prom. She was the comedy relief token in all of those occasions.

Dammit, Donna!

Ironically, the theme was A NIGHT TO REMEMBER, but the group made the prom was A NIGHT TO REMEMBER

What ruined is that Brandon’s girl didn’t fit him not what so ever . He was the star guy. Yea her character was supposed to be mature and he “ liked “ that but she didn’t fit at all! Literally.

They tried to get Donna out quickly, BUT IT WAS TOO LATE. She passed out on the hotel lobby floor intoxicated in front of Mrs. Teasley

I don’t know if writers thought about it this way but: Donna was supposed to have sex with David that night… She had enough guilt in her mind from her mom even putting a cross on his neck that night… So guilty, she created this hole conflict , getting drunk, and punishment for her. And dot sleeping with David …

I'm probably the only one tht gets annoyed by Andrea, like no way does she look like a high school student 😂 even back then when I would watch it as a teenager myself I always thought, "eck, she looks like a teacher hitting on a teen", I could nvr shake the "eck" feeling watching her interact with the others, same for Dillon lol

She didn’t look that old in the beginning, but the problem is by season 3 it became particularly obvious that Luke, Jason, and especially Gabrielle were too old to be playing high schoolers.

Firstly, it was their prom and they wanted to celebrate and have some drinks; unfortunately , Donna didn't realize u should not drink on an empty stomach, hence her getting drunk right away. Secondly, Um hello, they did such a bad job in getting Donna tf out of there 🙄. Lastly, while Donna did drink and broke the rules, I thought the board could have been a bit more Lenient considering Donna's good track record at school. FFS I dont think her character really got in trouble! Yes, I know it's a show ppl, just venting lmaoo

Celeste was the most beautiful of all the girls. Loved her outfit.

They are teenagers looking like 25 each.

Andrea should have only had scenes with Dylan and Steve, the characters played by actors a little closer to her age. Having her interact with the other girls or Brandon and David makes her age too distracting and she becomes the mom. It’s not all age though. If it was Brandon in a hotel room with Kim Basinger or an older woman who is actually sexy, it could have worked. Andrea has the sexiness of some lonely secretary’s sad leftover casserole lunches.

Anyone else remember when television had white people ? Wow 🤯
