it came out during Donkey Kong 64 so I kind of associated it with the game and it has more fidelity than the N64 itself so I never thought it was shit at the time. yeah, its obviously not good in 2023 but it was good in the 90s. Not many CG shows like this, I think Cubix might've been the next one, so it was also a bit of a novelty for me on Cartoon Network or wherever it was broadcast.

KevinG Dude, only problem with a Kid Icarus anime would be how cliché it would be. Unless they decides to touch into some themes that would be dark for something like Kid Icarus or expand on the Greek mythology thing, what have you got. Pit, the dimwitted but justice loving hero. Palutena. the mother lady with jokes. Dark Pit, the agro anti-hero rival. Viridi, the Tsundere love interest (easily missed conversation in the Aurum Hive implies Viridi having feelings for Pit). Medusa, the only character I'd actually like to see handled since she was interesting to me. Hades, the overconfident villain that, while hilarious, is OP with an army that makes it take forever to reach him.

I had to come back to this when I saw Diddy Kong was back in Smash 4.

I'l never forget the greatest moments of my life watching the best shows on canadian channels. And Donkey Kong Country was one of my most favorite shows.

Donkey Kong Country. . .it's the oddball of all of gaming show's oddballs. It's surprisingly beloved by many, some even unironically! I'm one of those lads, binged the whole show years ago on ''On Demand'' and it was something I hold really close to my heart. Even the intro hypes up the fun ride the viewers will head off on. So much so that I always associate EVERYTHING Donkey Kong with the original SNES trilogy, 64 & the cartoon equally~

This cartoon is my childhood here! It may look cheesy now, but I still love it since Donkey Kong Country was a big part of my childhood before even Pokémon came by. In addition, back in 9th grade computer class, we got to do an essay on anything we want, and this was what I did my essay on. Managed to pass with an 84 on it. Thank you, Donkey Kong Country!

YEEEES! I loved this show! I watched it all the time on Teletoon. Thanks for uploading this, it brings back great memories.

I remember back in the day it was a big deal when this came on. Back then Donkey Kong was the hottest thing in the video game world and to see him in his own show on top of it being a 3-D animated show as opposed to hand drawn was pretty cool......too bad the show is pretty bad. While it is at least legibly funny, the animation has aged like hell and what was once considered realistic movement now comes off as.....well......over animated. Not the worst show and fun to watch for a little giggle, but nothing ground breaking.

Yeah, it was impressive back then, i remember CG shows were considered awesome because... well they were 3d. It's the same with 3d videogames of the Ps1/n64 and even ps2/gamecube when they try to go for realism, back then it looked awesome but now they look dated and stiff That's why i appreciate 2d, or cartoony styles, they just age better

Jaeger Newman I find it one of the greatest shows of all time for all the wrong reasons.

This song is probably going to be playing in my head for the rest of the night.

The "Ayyee yoo" from this song is present in "Driving Me Bananas", which is part of the Mario Movie OST.

This show was actually great! Funny as hell moments and catchy songs (two per episode surprisingly). I own season 1 and still hold it dear to my heart ❤️

It's hard to type about this show after that guitar solo melted my face onto the keyboard.

This was made in 1996 and still has better CGI animation than the ones currently running on kids channels.

DUDE THIS SHOW. I used to watch this back when I was a first grader. I loved this show.

I used to love this when I was younger lol. I probably didn’t understand half the things that were happening but I just loved it.

Wow. We were a lot more accepting of our CGI back then. This wouldn't cut it for an indy video game now.
