Anybody that buys a ball for a donkey for a gift is truly blessed by God. Donkeys are lovely creatures. Thank you so much.

I watched a documentary in which ranchers prefer using donkey over dogs to guard sheep because they are equally smart, protective, territorial, but much stronger and hardier when facing wolves and coyotes. They literally drag them out on their ears. Plus, they eat the same thing as the sheep, so very easy to maintain. They just gaze all day along with the sheep.

Exactly what I was thinking. He was taking pleasure in removing the potential threat. Granted it definitely is cute but his pleasure is not what most think it is. We have two mammoth donkeys and both are really cool to be around.

Emotionally they are just as emotional as us 💓

He. Is. PRECIOUS. 😍It’s the simple pleasures in life and this lil sweetie gets it!

This is, without any hyperbole, one of the greatest moments ever filmed. The pure joy expressed by this innocent creature is something I hope everyone gets to experience at least once in their lives❤️

We might find this behavior entertaining. But, that donkey isn't playing. He is practicing. Donkeys are incredibly aggressive towards anything they consider a threat. They routinely kill dogs and coyotes in the exact way this donkey attacks that ball.

@@Frieghtliner1975 The same could be said of every animal when they are "playing" with a toy of some kind. The rapid thrashing of its head whilst holding the object in its mouth is meant to break the "enemy's" neck. All that being said, it doesn't mean he wasn't enjoying himself while doing it 😌

I have 3 donkeys, mom and her son and daughter. Yes, they are the most grateful and loving of the equines. ❤️

That donkey is such a character. You can tell that he is loved a lot.

Never would I ever have imagined a donkey reacting this way. Not only the joy he expresses but the way he jumps and gets on the ground. Good boy.

"Donkey gets a new ball for Christmas." And immediately puts the new with the old and plays with them together.

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 I hope everyone can experience this type of joy at least once in their lifetime.

The crazy thing is, is that I have never seen someone appreciate a gift as much as this donkey.

The ball only lasted for a fleeting moment. But the immense joy and the memory will last a lifetime!!!! That is so beautiful! I'd be headed to the store to buy a crate of these balls!!!

I got such happiness for this little guy, he shows such joy. Thank you for loving him.

That was SO much fun to watch and listen to! His obvious joy playing with both the new ball and the old one was likely as entertaining for the viewer as it was for him. I've played it several times just to listen to his happy sounds!

Love how he introduces the new ball to the old tired one. Just because the old ball wasn't as firm and shapely anymore, ....he still loved it. So now he has two to Love. SWEET

It's just awesome to see this donkey have the time of his life enjoying his new toy!

He’s as happy as can be with just a ball. Never have witnessed a donkey walking on his hind legs.

We should be as joyful everyday because of all the gifts God gives us!! Food, shelter, clothing. Instead of complaining, look for a blessing and rejoice! Even if you can only find one!

Donkeys are so underrated, one of a favourite of mine to watch. Funny and tough, great at guarding a flock. Beasts of burden in many places, treated pretty bad unfortunately. This guy is full of it😆

I think the saying “like a kid in a candy shop” can be replaced with “like a donkey with a new ball”! I’ve never seen anything so excited or happy in my life! Not even my dog when I get some chicken out! 😂

Why wouldn't you have thought that? Try loading heavy lumber on a dog, then whip him when he drops on an uphill, see how playful he gets. It's all how you treat someone. There's only deep hate and deep love. Nothing else. Everything else is a derivative of that.

Elephants, cows, horses share the same joy with a ball.

I have a soft spot in my heart for donkeys, ever since i read that in years past, they were used to pull carts in the mines, and from their first day of work, most never saw sunlight again. 😢

I think this is the greatest feeling I ever had watching a video, it’s so AMAZING 🤩 how happy this sweet donkey is all because of a piece of rubber!!! Absolutely awesome 👏🏼 🤣😂😆
