    Mostly she doesn't sing any variations - just what is written in the score. She and the Conductor have eschewed the traditional higher interpolations.

    They eschewed flute cadenza - that’s pretty bold of them, particularly in Italy. Love her singing. I’m very glad that she getting recognition from such an knowledgeable audience.

    @@-giakhanh--kayden-8337 I agree, but it is bold. I think Chailly likes performing opening night performances as the operas were 'originally intended,' or at least as close to the original versions as possible. His Tosca with Netrebko from a few years ago included a number of passages that are interesting to hear, but were rightfully cut by Puccini.

    @@ER1CwC yes. or maybe the flutist wanted to flex technical skills. do other solo instruments like piano and violin go well with the cadenza? i dont know much. also i do like anna Netrebko. very nice soprano too

    ​@@ngenzemsh8825 Usually, the cadenza is done with a flute. Originally, it was performed with glass harmonica actually; there are some examples on KZread. It's supposed to be a symbol of Lucia's madness. But flautists (and flutes) are more readily available, and glass harmonicas can't play as quickly as flutes.

    To say that there is only one version of an artistic work is illogical. Especially since Ms. Oropesa is arguably of more firm technical footing in this rep.

    at 3:25 - what gorgeous flute and clarinet blending! It almost sounds like a different third instrument that doesn’t exist. Seriously incredible playing together, especially the flutist’s control of the vibrato to match the clarinet. Does anyone know who these two performers are? I know this production is from La Scala but that’s about all I have so far. Lisette is perfection throughout, as always!

    Пик ее вокальной формы был в 2017-18 годах. Сейчас - шоубиз. Спасибо за горькие слова. Еще фальшь постоянная у нее - здесь еще не так криминально. С уважением

    Ahhhh really pale, not in the character except for the programmed jerky movements… No Eb in the first half? Don’t do the role.. Already a wobble on the high Bb? And not much power in the Eb? She should avoid this( and god forbid, Norma), and stick to girlie soprano roles…

    The Eflat6 is not in the original score. Lucia wasn't composed for a coloratura soprano. In the original score, there are a couple of C6 and a C#6. Well, within the voice of a full lyric or dramatic soprano

    Lisette sang Lucia this way because that's LA SCALA required. For this production, LA SCALA required the singers to sing the music come scritto, using Donizetti's original version. LA SCALA did not allow any changes, except in a few areas (such as the high E-flat at the end of SPARGI).

    Она поет красиво, но как будто робот, как то бежизненно.. Она просто что смеётся над героиней! .Каллас никто не перепел и не переиграл в этой роли! Нет у этой певицы энергии персонажа! Все в низкой позиции.... Клоунада наверное! Сори!
