Dear Super Junior Oppas, You probably will never see this, but I still wish to express my love for you, and that is why I'm writing this letter at 1 at midnight. I was first introduced to you guys in 2011; I was 12 and was a lonely Taiwanese child with few friends, so I spent most of my free time watching KZread videos as an escape from my dull life. I came across Mr. Simple quite randomly (guess I was blessed by algorithm gods even back then), and you guys where beyond cool. You dropped a bomb into my little boring existence, and from that day on, I relentlessly saved all my pocket money just so I can buy Mr. Simple the album. I did. Mr. Simple was one of the first albums I have ever bought. During most of my adolescence, I remained awkward and most of my life consisted of studying. Outside of studying, your presence in my life provided me endless comfort knowing that I could watch your performances and see you appearing on shows after long tormenting schooldays. One night when I was in junior high, I had to call an ambulance for my dad because he was in terrible pain; riding in the ambulance with him and my mom, I was so scared and lost. Eventually, his condition was stable, and my mom sent me home while she stayed in the hospital with my dad. I was alone in the house, and never in my life had I felt so helpless and fragile. And so, I turned on one of your TV show appearances and fell asleep to your voice. It made me feel safe, knowing that I existed on the same planet as you. That was almost 10 years ago. Now, I have left Taiwan to study theatre in Canada with a goal of becoming an actress. In my days on this foreign land, again I turn to your music and your presence when I feel lost and alienated. I even still have your posters on my dorm walls, and your albums (I love Time Slip!) stacked next to my bed just to keep me company. In the years since I met you, I am sure you have changed, just as I have in these 9 years. But one thing remains the same: I am an ELF who holds you so dear to my heart and I have endless love and support for Super Junior. It hurts me incredibly to see you working so hard and diligently-both individually and as a group-only to receive hate and hurtful comments. Therefore, I am writing this long, long letter because I believe you deserve my doing so, and my declaring that after all these years, there still are ELFs all around the world who wish nothing but the best for you! I hope I can meet you in person one day just to personally tell you how much gratitude I have for being able to exist in the same era as Super Junior, the true legends, and my one and only kings. P.S. I loved your performance during the New Years in Taiwan! Please come to Taiwan soon, and hopefully, I can admire your performance in person! :) Until then, please, please, please take care of yourself physically and mentally! Stay healthy

What a wonderful letter 💙 I'm from the UK and now living in Taiwan. I've been an elf for 12 years and I went to drama school in Scotland. I have started a theatre company in Taiwan working to create pieces that are language free so they are accessible to all. I love Super Junior and they have given me so much strength over the years. This year has been particularly hard but their music really helps. I hope they do realise how much comfort we get from their music and just their presence in our lives. I too wish them happiness in every way 💙 P.s I went to the Taipei101 countdown in Taiwan, and they were awesome 💙

Super junior had a gospel song since 2007. Song For You. The Christian members performed it at SS3, I think. They wrote the lyrics and this used to be the song that comes on just before SuShow starts. Now, it is 2nd song before concert and Superman.
