Doncaster Works & Station Visits - 08/11/81

A Sunday afternoon visit to Doncaster Works for a couple of hours with my still & cine camera's managed to record 37xxx, 55019, 55005, 56036, 40xxx, 31137, 56100, 08776, 50009, 37228, 37021, 37267 & 56101. Then a quick visit to the station to see 55002 depart for King's Cross.

I was at Donny works then too. Was a sad sight because I knew where those locos were going to end up. Look at the variety then to what it is today.
I lived done the road from there in goole . Used to see loads of 37s come out of the docks . Pulling freight and car transporters.

I known they were working the same network for 4 years, but it's still strange seeing a 55 and 56 in the same shot
Always remember the security taking a group of us round doncaster works for the princely sum of 50p each in 81
