Your talk in the beginning is so relatable! I am also an emotional buyer but my big makeup collection isn't going to fix my internal issues. I'm still over-consuming and trying to stop.. :/

I have the same issue. I was going through my clothes, shoes and makeup this weekend and I realized I have Atleast for 3 people. I’m trying to not be a hoarder and donate as much as I can. We can do this. Little by little. I don’t think I’ll ever be a minimalist but I’m trying for a smaller collection 🙏🧡 Sending strength!

I’m the same way, I don’t over consume in anywhere but makeup, but it’s like I’m chasing the high I get when I buy a new product.. but we all know how quickly that high fades away. Sending love to all of us who are trying to look deep into ourselves to understand that void we are trying to fill 🤍

i think your point about the word "collection" and what it does to our mindsets is so interesting! it made me reflect as well, and from this point forward, I'll be referring to the makeup i have solely as my "makeup inventory" in hopes of distancing myself from that collector's mindset. great video

I relate so much. I’m an emotional spender. I’m starting to get cluttered and I’m trying to change my habits.

I was so tempted to walk into a Sephora to just browse the other day and I caught myself. I’m like why am I shopping?! Why am I even tempting myself right now?!

Am so happy that I find you 🌹 Year ago I was in a bad place and I started to watch many beauty content and from a person who owned 1 eyeshadow pallet I have now 30 pallets 🤦🤦 and I did declutter many more. Now am just in a noooo buy pallets like forever! I still have too much, but now I actually using them and started to know what is good for me and what am not gonna use! You said a massive truth here♥️

I think there’s something very magical about beauty and playing with makeup, but it can quickly get out of hand especially for me who already had/has a shopping issue and often used it as an escape. So happy you found your way of enjoying beauty in a sustainable way ❤️

the joan roads one has a seal! ur suppose to smoosh the top and then it exposes the actual pigmented product !

For the Jones Road balm you need to "crack" the surface the first time you use it, then you'll get the product :) it shows you how on their socials or on the site. Great declutter!

Agreed no one needs a make up collection. Not a fan of over consumption but do tend to be an emotional shopper. I am conscious and do have limits and boundaries. But can do better. I used make as an outlet especially during Covid. I'm just at a place where I love my " collection", and now know what I like/ need. I'm over it, and plan to enjoy what I have!

Omg How miss my makeup collection that I rebuilt so many darn times because people suck & can't buy their own stuff I can't even watch makes me sad but I will get everything I want & need & more just gotta keep working hard to get there.

I would love to see a shop my stash mom everyday make up look.

I can see you becoming Rachel Talbot in the future with the farm and the more relaxed life! Love your declutter videos.

This is the second video of yours I’ve watched. Really appreciated your candid and real opening in this one. The first was the Seint review. I’m still debating getting into that. I‘ve kind of lost my way with makeup and it seemed like a good way to get on track. But You’ve made me realize even though I’m not a big “collector” of makeup I do have some decluttering to do. And I’m the worst for saving samples for some special occasion and then never thinking to look through my samples when that occasion comes along. And they’re probably all so old I should throw them all out. Oh boy do I need to declutter!

At some point I have to make the decision and declutter my own makeup products and keep only the necessary ones!!

Wow so relatable. I use to be so materialistic because saving money never seemed attainable to me so I just spent what I had cause it was never a lot. After saving a bit of money and realizing every penny truly counts even when ur living pay check to pay check (like me) I am very selective

i threw away all my makeup during lockdown i only kept one product from each category , its taken me two years to buy what i wanted and yes its all high end but its everything i wanted and not making do with products , so out everything went i just gave it all to my family !

I hate the beauty community with a burning passion and getting rid of makeup to donate it to others who need it is amazing

My weakness is lipstick. I still have the Jouer eyeshadow palette too. One of my favorites.

Some people do inventory on their make up. Do you think it’s a good way to see what your using up or don’t need? Especially if it’s kept in notes on our phone.

I have 3 foundations ( Sisleya, CAPTURE DIOR, and Future Solution Shiseido and 3 primers of same foundation, Sisley Tenseur, Dior Capture and Shiseido FS) 3 Chanel quad eyeshadow, 1 Shiseido 40 luxury lipsticks Two blushes 7 eye pencils from chanel And few other items

I realized I have too much stuff and it’s causing me mental health issues Atm so I’ve been donating and giving to friends and family

I love a good declutter! I did this recently and I feel like I can actually use the products now that I can see them all and it’s less cluttered!

Absolutely! I feel like sometimes if you have too much you forget to use things.

I bought the shiseido concealer and I got a shade too dark. What shade do you have? I'm about the same shade as u so I probably need to go one up from the shade u have.

I don't like the kosas concealer under my eyes. It settles into lines too much. It's good for covering up my flakey blemishes. Also not a fan of the floral fragrance. The nyx serum concealer is my HG I use beige and love it so much. For both under my eyes and on blemishes.

I also over consume. The book simplicity parenting really helped me figure out what my kids really needed not hat advertisers tell me I need. It might be helpful.

Maybe there something you need to decide on one thing subject to blog about that might make it easier and more satisfying for yourself that's just one suggestion love your facial videos 😘❤🥰

@@sereinwu I just hope very selfishly that you decide on the facial do to the fact there are so many makeup bloggers and the facial have been so much help to so many people as a natural way to fall asleep without having to see a doctor and be put on medication that they may not need this has been therapy to so my people during these very difficult past 2 years your face us looking stunning and the baby keeps getting more beautiful each day ❤
