My favorite battle in the anime was ash going up against the frontier brain Spencer because it was the first time we really got to see Sceptile battle after its evolution. It was also cool to see him redeem himself after his heart was broken in two episodes prior.

Thanks man! I record the gameplay first, while keeping in mind who is playing and what plays I want them to do / routes I want them to take, and then take like 3 days to create and add in the script. It's a hassle for sure, but all worth it when I see comments like this!

That Wattson fight was hype as hell. The strategies used were amazing and it also continues to show how Goated mango is. The most hype battle from the anime has to be metapod vs metapod. Glad to see grumpy gengar get a shoutout. His vids helped me immensely with my emerald nuzlocke and it’s good to see you guys take strategy from him. Day whatever the hell of requesting boat the whiscash. 😊

And yeah I recently discovered grumpy gengar because of I thought of making an emerald HC nuzlocke tier list, but then went with this series instead. He knows his stuff for sure. And ok added Boat to the wheel again haha.

It took teamwork, skill, strategy, and a little bit of luck. That's a damn good gym battle

ayy yeah I went through and made a few for each and decided on the best ones. I think a lot of other presidents AI youtubers don't take the right amount of time to get the right voices.

The best battle of all time is DEFINITELY in the first episode: Ash and Pikachu VS 100 Spearow! The LOVE and LOYALTY there between each other were so emotionally compelling, and it didn't matter that it was essentially a draw. The two became one from that moment on 💜

@@Dylxan327 I've thoroughly enjoyed your content and am adamant you do Crystal Version playthrough but choose the CYNDAQUIL and catch a Zubat especially if you start at late evening by time you get the poke balls you can catch a wild Zubat outside new bark town. I'd then happily be curious for what team you would choose around those two. Fire and a flying / poison type.

@@isaacpaz9287 so I've actually been thinking about this. I have never actually played through a generation 2 game. Which is crazy, because I've played through each gen 3,4, and 5 game like 10 times each. I just know I don't care for the mechanics of gen 2 and the johto gameplay. That being said, there is a rom creator named Smith Plays Pokemon making a rom of Crystal where he is fixing all the things wrong with Crystal. And I'm excited for it. I'm gonna livestream on youtube me playing through it as a blind hardcore nuzlocke. It could be cool having the presidents do it, but it's just so much work and I wanna play through it myself because I wanna make sure I keep having fun playing these games. So I'm doing it for myself to prevent burnout. That being said, during the livestream, people can come through and we can talk about the presidents series and stuff like that. So feel free to drop in if you ever see that! Won't be for another month or so though.

yeah Ima have to agree with that one too. Lot of memorable scenes in that battle, infernape went crazy and it was really the pinnacle of Ash's ingenuity on the battlefield, kinda shaped the rest of his battle style for the next ~12 years.

Lot of memorable shit happened that battle. Staraptor close combat to safety, the drapion blindly grabbing the buizel from behind, the infernape going underground and overheating the toxic spikes, then of course the electivire vs infernape in the end. And yessir still gotta fill out the party and we could use a good tank next to Titan.

Sad to hear what happened with the outro song. I liked it and it fit very well. Thank you for the entertainment by the way

I would love to figure it out and get a good song I really like on there, but I have now experienced firsthand that I don't want to work with studios or any possible copyrights at all. Just not worth the possible head ache and loss of monetization. And glad you like the series!

Absolutely have to say the fight between buizel vs Lucario was absolutely one of the coolest anime battles to me and caused both of those pokemon to become some of my favorites and come water pulse vs aura sphere was so awesome to see

A damn good episode! I loved how the entire team was needed to pull off that win, and the neat strategies that were utilized. As for my favorite battle in the anime, I stopped watching around mid XY, but I only remember Indigo league through Sinnoh League properly. Sad that BW was pretty forgetable when it came to the anime. Anyways, Paul vs Ash was probably the best battle in the anime (Leon vs Ash is good too, but it's mostly a visual spectacle and that plug in of the OG theme helped it a lot, alongside it being the finale). The themes, rivalry, and actual battle were all goated. May vs Ash was also good as it showed that May caught up to Ash as a trainer. Another favorite isn't from the main anime, but Pokemon Generations with the Mega Rayquaza+Brendan vs Deoxys fight. It was short, but boy howdy was it badass, especially the remixed Deoxys theme and the creepy vibe they gave to Deoxys itself.

Ayy whats up tiger glad you liked the episode. Definitely was fun to record, and pretty exciting to start making the script for. Because in my head I knew every single member played such a huge role. Also you make some great points there. Paul vs Ash is probably my number 1, but can't blame anyone for choosing Leon's battle over it. That battle was the grand finale, after all. And as high as the expectations are for a 25 year long series, they did it justice. I actually have not seen many of those spin off series, like origins or generations. But that certainly does sound sick, I'll have to check it out.

it was pretty sick for sure! I think it's wild that Tobias clearly goes on to lose to Cynthia, because for winning the tournament he gets the privilege to fight the champion, but afterwards Cynthia is still champion. So Tobias just kinda disappeared. Interesting in my opinion!

Ash vs Paul’s 6:6 at Lake Acuity is a sleeper hit and their rematch at the sinnoh conference is really good! Ash vs Gary in the johto league felt like a long time coming and to me was the biggest thing to ever happen in the anime. All my friends were so hype for it but it also, to me, represented a shift in when Pokémon fans left the series as that was their high point.

This gym battle was hella goated not gonna lie. The trio just cooking up the gym once again. Oh and also on a side note, I agree with Donald not opting to replace the Swellow. I doubt it will fall off and I'm very positive it will make it. Back in the days, it was a useful Pokémon for me in Battle Frontier which is kinda huge because of the strong AI and their Pokémon selection sometimes. I leveled up almost every Pokémon to level 50 back then lol.

Honestly yeah he shouldn't ever fall off. I probably won't be utilizing guts too much though because honestly that is broken. Guts facade can sweep through everything, including a lot of the elite four.

Ash beating Gary was the moment for me, Charizard inexplicably losing against Blaziken in the next round be damned. Gary was the measuring stick Ash constantly gauged himself against and to see him finally surpass it was so satisfying to see.

There are some let’s play ai president series that is almost literally all 3 of them calling each other a dumbass half the time. The script for this is so genius, a lot better than the others.

i know it's a late comment, but actually one of the best anime gym leader battle other than Olympia and surge, i would gave prop too in the ash's battle with wulfric, the showdown between Ash-Greninja and Mega Abomasnow gave me a Goosebump tbh. i know it's a late comment but come to think of it, that Greninja vs Abomasnow battle feels like David vs Goliath kind of a fight. especially with how ash and his greninja actually lost at the first and had to went through realization how both ash and greninja should trust each other. their second battle is truly filled with their determination as well.

wow, it really was like the Pikachu vs Raichu battle...

22:06 FYI: Joe's "Rizzatriptan" line off the cuff was 9/10 hilarious. The drug Sumatriptan (or going by it's more common brand name- Imitrex) is a medication taken for migraine headaches. The fact that it was babbled out by Joe so fast and took a degree of esoteric knowledge (If you suffer from migraines as well, I feel for you, bros) made this a dagger to my sides 😂

lol yeah esoteric for me as a part time pharmacy technician, thankfully not because i suffer from migraines. Very niche joke thank you for being the only person to recognize it haha. sometimes its hard to come up with scripts for everything so i have to throw in a lot of just my own personal stuff that not too many people will get, but as long it lands with one person im happy haha.

(Sorry this is so long) Love this series, gonna like every video 👌🏾 It's clever af how the connection with the Surge battle was made, the continuous paralysis was just ridiculous 😆 If I had to name a favorite battle, it would be one that is both infuriating because of the games and cool af because of the show. Bugsy vs Ash, Scyther vs anyone is a great battle, but the Swords Dance to avoid the damage from SP. ATK fire moves was dope af. Still, it made anyone playing the games rage that they didn't incorporate that mechanic into gameplay somehow. Sweet, but bittersweet nonetheless. It also put on display how dope Fury Cutter is on Scyther, even before the Technician ability was introduced. Scyther is my favorite pokemon, so underappreciated and such a dope pokemon. One of those situations where the 1st stage is cooler and just all out better than the evolution imo, no disrespect to Scizor fans - it's a personal preference kinda thing. Love Scizor too, js - I just feel like Scyther is overshadowed from a creative perspective by Scizor (despite Arceus incorporating a new form for Scyther, it deserved a mega evolution along with Scizor 🤗). Either that or (if it qualifies) Noland vs Ash - that fight with Articuno was an edge of seat situation for me, I prefer Magmar to Charizard, but it was still captivating and attention grabbing af. Great battle where you didn't really know if it would be a Surge situation or not 😌 Oh and also a good candidate: Ash vs Blaine, Charizard vs Magmar was one of the greats and easily one of the most iconic battles of all time.

ayyy preciate the long comments like this man. Means a lot to me when people put such an effort into this. Yeah I kinda noticed during the battle how ruby (and titan) slowing down manectric so closely resembled the pikachu vs raichu fight, so I just took that and exagerrated the hell out of it haha. And honestly I completely forgot about that aspect of the scyther fight! I'm gonna have to go watch it again. The johto anime is honestly very foggy to me I don't remember much of it. I think because my favorite series was hoenn, but I also loved the classics but that was mainly kanto. So Johto got swept under the rug a little bit to me. Also Noland vs Ash is sick, and magmar vs charizard with that seismic toss is also dope.
