38:54 Warren Farrell demonstrates everything you need to know right here. Don't listen to a word anyone says. Instead, pay attention to what they do. And ironically, doing this will lead you to Gilder's position, not Farrell's.

I respect Mr. Gilder for holding his ground and having the courage to say some very controversial things, despite the enormous backlash he gets. Both men made some valid and good points.

You can't social engineer genetics out of humans. It's true than women today don't need men to survive...society provides safety for women that men used to provide. But deep down inside, women without children who chase money who also don't have men in their lives are more unhappy, regardless if they have money or not. The same is true for men, but women who thrive on emotion tend to be more unhappy these days.

I was very fortunate to have been introduced to Dr. Farrell's book "Why Men Are the Way They Are" when I was in my mid-20s. It catapulted me into a new level of awareness. The lessons the book presented has never diminished.

@@jadaaleeshamindexpert7365 This Farrell guy seems to be a social constructionist.... presuming that the success object status of men and sex object status of women is nurture rather than nature. He wants women to be more open to effeminized men who pay attention and listen and are sensitive... George Gilder is more a kin to Jordan Peterson...they understand there are anthropological realities that are evident throughout human history..and they don't try to force their imaginations on society...I understand now he advocates for young men, so I'm commenting on this debate. They were in agreement on the facts, pretty much, just the way forward is where he loses me, in this video.

How refreshing to hear reasoned argument over several minutes between two men who actually agree on a lot of points, but differ on some.

damn media was garbage back then, no wonder that audience speaks of others generalities as being bad all the while making generalities themselves. they simply do not understand how their lives are statistically fed into data which accounts for exactly what they are and how they influence societies. the audience seems to be too preoccupied defending themselves rather than listening to the speaker's points because each one of them who raises their hand is like "what about me? i seem to be the exception"

It's no surprise that Farrell is single and Gilder is married. Farrell started out as a feminist and translated all of the victimhood of feminism over to men. This debate is the reason liberal women want to marry conservative men like Gilder, though conservative men don't want to marry liberal women. Both sexes are disgusted by the others whining. Authority flows to those who take responsibility.

22:53 the personification of female solipsism. Completely misses the point just so she can make her own point about what a "yas kween" she is. Then flows immediately and unironically from the hypothetical generalization of: "why on earth would I have any kind of responsibility to a young man as a result of a love relationship with him? he can be responsible for himself!" to the defensive: "I have a husband at home who's wonderful because he understands his responsibilities to me and my kids."

Dr. Warren Farrell is making excellent points, but the jock host and the hardcore christian zealot sitting next to him keep interrupting and completely twisting his words. The analogy of a woman marrying a man who keeps getting demoted as time passes was pure genius to describe a woman beauty/sexual power

The secular social constructionist Ferrell wishes to remove the immutable traits of men and women, as if to say they are interchangeable....women to reverse, by shear tyranny of will, their tendency for hypergamy. They Christian "zealot" as you so bastardly wish to dismiss him, was anthropologically breaking down these truisms of the sexes as observed throughout human history and cross-culturally. You atheists ruin everything. When you remove God, people take up Social religions. And yours has so twisted the fabric of logic to the point that a Supreme Court Chief Justice in America cannot define what a woman is. Your boy here Farrell was a feminist, now he advocates for men's rights to combat the poison that feminism wreaked on society at large. So that Christian "zealot" is more grounded in reality my misotheist friend.
