I think they still are - Cyrus gravitates towards power

When people are bad mouthing Cyrus because they think he's always c-blocking Olitz, I remember this scene. Cyrus's lines prove there's no doubt that he knows how true and deep their love is. It's just that it gets in the way of the politics and that's what Cyrus is all about.

Some men aren't meant to be happy they are meant to be great. When Fitz was with Olivia he was great. He didn't want them together because then Cyrus wouldn't have a place in the oval anymore. Fitz only listens to Olivia.

This is the only time that Olivia should ever listen to Cyrus. He really was never team Olitz at all. He used their relationship to his advantage

There will NEVER be another show like this again. I normally only say this about shows from the 70s because shows back then were ORIGINAL, but it's the electricity between these two (Liv & Fitz) that made me forget that this was ONLY a show. I think these two are secretly who a lot of people want to be to someone else in REAL LIFE. I think that what those two displayed on camera for each other, even in SILENCE as they gazed at one another from time to time is a feeling so many want to feel, IF ONLY ONCE with someone else.... I have to keep reminding myself that these two are JUST ACTING.

Cyrus knew how deeply Fitz and Olivia loved each other but being a power hungry monster, he willingly at various times stabbed both of them in the back. What a pal.

Cyrus is only loyal to a person as long as they are useful to him. He tried to have Olivia killed twice and his own husband killed and pimped him out. The only thing he loves is power and his place in the white house

I have always loved this scene...I do believe Livvie will always be there for her people....she just gives and gives...that's who she is

When she said that Mellie let her see Fitz one time, then revoked her visitation pass. It's those moments that "literally" makes me hate her. But when it's all said & done & the smoke clears the room, between Liv & Mellie WHO is the one that ALWAYS comes back begging????????

coop4olitz you could tell that she was trying not to cry while she was talking. Also this probably another reason that she packed up and left town.Little Jerry's death brought back the painful memories of the time when fitz got shot and almost died and she reached a point where she couldn't handle it anymore. You see everyone was so concerned about fitz all this time but nobody stopped to think about how all of this affected olivia . Fitz being shot and her not knowing whether he was going to live or die and mellie not letting her see fitz but one time and planning his funeral even though he was not dead yet.

@@coop4sussex174 What's crazy is Mellie was probably afraid that if Olivia goes to visit Fitz in the hospital he might wake up because he feels her presence and then be like fuck everything lets just get married and get out this town. When Olivia did visit him and laid next to him the next day he woke up.

Yeah they had a good friendship but he was so two face and runs to Olivia when he thinks James is cheating on him not Mellie who in reality can't stand.

Olivia was a great work wife to Cy and she stabbed him in the back. And Millie was a POS for banning Liv out of jealousy when she never experienced shit like their love in her life.

See I’ve been thinking and something about this show screams this really happened to shonda or someone close to her because this love story feels to real. Now I know the scandal handle is real there is a real fixer. However this love story didn’t start nor end like a television love story. I’ve watch a lot of love stories in my time and 2 things happen on tv or movies the couple either break up and grow and get other ppl or they get back together happily ever after. This story is so detailed and wounded in love this had to happen to shonda I refuse to believe otherwise
