As with any AI product that grabs data you provide, I assume the model sends that data to some server online. If you happen to be copying data on the screen with things like your financial information or passwords (because I knew a lot of people would think to do something with that too), this information could be sent to and possible saved on a remote server. I would need to look at their software to find more, just a general word of caution.

@@KevinStratvert Thank you for posting this. With this in mind, please note the Legal Information link and Data Storage link on their own privacy page are not loading the said pages. The company UI Path was also part of a data breach in December of 2020 which leaked 600,000 users' information including "name, email address, username, company name, country, and UiPath certification details".

Didn't really work. I first tried copying a table of transactions (date, merchant, amount) from a Chase bank statement in PDF. Tried to copy to a simple test Excel worksheet with those same column names. Said it couldn't complete the task and had a big red "Retry" button. Tried multiple times, didn't work. Then I tried copying a short table in an Outlook email (date, instructor, time). It only pasted a date, instructor from higher up in the email text. Couldn't get Clipboard AI to "see" the table in the email. So far, 0 for 2. So I uninstalled it.

Thanks, Kevin, it looks like a great app. But, as complete as the app is, why doesn’t it allow you to paste all invoices to allow submission with one click or combination of clicks? Or would it be simpler just to create an old fashioned macro?

Please could you provide instructions on how to address the issue of the "if" formula always evaluating to false "2" when the first argument "STOP" refers to a column in a table that is linked via rollup to another table. If, however, I experimentally refer to a column in this table where data is entered manually, everything works. if(prop("Stop") == 0, 1, 2)

This function already exists in Excel > Data > From Picture > Picture from Clipboard and since I've already given Microsoft authorization to access my data, I don't transmit data through a 3rd party server (where it's definitely being stored and used to train the model)

yeah except the excel functionality kinda sucks, and it can't paste in 3rd party apps, webforms, etc

Thanks for the video - I was so excited to try this, but it didn't work for my scenario. Client sent me a PDF with a column of dates and amounts that I wanted to move into excel. The product only pasted in a random subset of the amounts. Not what I was dreaming of. Bummer!

Absolutely not. Despite what anyone claims these tools use this data to train models and may store the dataset for future use.

Great tutorial. It is currently FREE but after the BETA it will cost you $420/month. Crazy expensive actually ridiculous!

Kevin, this was really good stuff. However, this does beg the question, given that this is free software, what's their angle? Are they harvesting the data you process with this tool for some purpose? Are they using it to train an AI independent of your use cases? I have huge privacy concerns that I think everyone needs to be cognizant of as cloud-based tools become more ubiquitous and SaaS replaces the conventional software and application's most people are accustomed to using.

A Chrome extension called Automa can do the same thing, a little bit complex but they have complete video guides. And what's the best, it's totally free
